Seth World News
Dateline Forever
1. We need your help, Seth readers! In order to get the best possible placement in a Google (et al) search, it helps considerably if we're in your Favorites/Bookmark listings; and if you have a website, we're linked to it. Do please help us get the maximum exposure worldwide for the Seth/Jane Roberts network we're establishing together. Appreciate you and your support!
2. Do consider entering your name into our Email List. We send out a newsy update a couple times a year with the latest happenings in the world of Seth. And like we say on the sign-up form, the list will absolutely never be sold, rented or loaned. But the importance of our Email List cannot be overstated. It seriously helps us better understand the demographics of Seth readers, and once our email list reaches a certain size, we'll be able to tell the most populated Seth-reader areas around the globe, track growth in any country in the world, and tell more about the age range of Seth readers. This information will be very helpful in many ways, not the least of which is in getting the Seth/Jane books published in certain languages, identifying active areas for producers of Seth conferences and workshops, and helping SNI to make suggestions to local residents about the viability of forming Seth groups.
* Note: If you joined the Email List and never receive our emails, it's because your registration failed or your address has started bouncing. Please re-enter your info again, folks!
Dateline May 1, 2013: Long Time No Talk, Sethies!
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
Hello Seth Friends,
I hope this finds you well! It’s been over four months since my last newsletter to you, and that’s what I want to talk to you about. When we launched the new Seth Network in 2009, my desire and goal was to write to you every month or two. So much has happened in my life since then that has impacted my goal significantly, though, to the point where I need to bring it to your attention and hopefully find a better solution to our conversations.
First, I launched my Facebook page a couple years ago. Since then it’s grown to over 1,000 Seth readers, and new folks join almost daily, many of whom are international readers. And while I love it, the attention it needs is way up there.
Also, I started two other Facebook Seth-related pages, one as an introduction to Seth Network and one to help introduce Jane to the Facebook community. And while they pretty much don’t change content, I receive lots of emails from those who drop in to review them.
Next, I wrote and recently published my fifth Seth-based book and eBook, Living a Safe Universe: A Book for Seth Readers. I’m happy to say the response to it has been terrific…and the emails regarding it great in number.
And finally, I’m in the throes of writing a sequel to my last book, not very creatively called Living a Safe Universe, Vol. 2. With focused effort, I hope to publish it and its eBook within a couple of months.
All of this goes to say I have a very significant time commitment to my work with Seth Network, my FB pages, my writing, my email correspondence—all willingly done and with great enthusiasm, but a heavy commitment nonetheless. And one that suggests I may not be able to continue writing newsletters, except maybe one or two a year.
So, here’s my proposal…no, my entreaty. :-) Please join me as a friend on Facebook. I know (because you’ve told me) that some of you have a very strong negative reaction to FB and have foresworn ever joining. But let me tell you a little about it, if I may.
On my page what I do is post what I call a Seth Snippet each day, with a quote taken verbatim from the books; or, I’ll post a Seth quote with a little editorializing as a lead-in. What happens then is that any of my friends can post their own comments below mine…and what a world of value to Seth readers opens up because of it! I am still amazed and delighted by the insights shared by Sethies, the questions asked of each other, the deep delving into the material that brings a clarity perhaps not as easy to grasp by reading alone with our books. And I cannot do it justice here in words; it needs to be experienced to understand the richness this kind of shared experience brings.
One of the things many of you say is you’re not a computer person, that you’re lucky to be plugged into email, let alone Facebook. But I’ll gladly attempt to dissuade you of that thinking!
1. First, I really want to stress that YOU DO NOT NEED TO PARTICIPATE on my page. All you need to do is enjoy the comments of others and the many Seth quotes that get shared.
2. To sign up for Facebook means this:
a) You do not need to use your real name, if that is a concern of yours.
b) You do not need to post a photo of any sort.
c) You will need to give FB an email address for their correspondence to you.
d) You will need to post an email address on your page. However, FB will assign you one with Facebook.com in it instead of your email address, if you choose to use it.
And that’s it. No need to fill in any other info at all.
3. Then, to become my FB friend, do this:
a) At the top of your FB page is a search box. Enter and click on Lynda Madden Dahl.
b) Click on Add Friend. I will receive a message and will approve your name.
At that point, you can go anywhere on my page you wish to go, read whatever you want to read, share whatever you wish to share, if anything.
Please believe me, a whole new world will open to you, replete with both national and international Seth friends you would not have had an opportunity to meet otherwise. For Seth readers, Facebook is the best thing since sliced bread. :-)
To help you along in your decision, I thought I’d print a couple of the past Seth Snippets (not the posted responses to them, though, because of space). So, I’ll add them after my closing.
And I guess that’s where I am now, at my closing. There’s no news to impart today, but I do recommend you keep your eye on the Directory on our Seth Network site, for the latest announcements posted therein. To remind you, here’s what you will see in the SNI Directory:
Seth Groups/Networks
Seth-Based Articles
Sethian Speakers
Conferences and Workshops

Okay, guys, that’s it for today. With psychic fingers crossed, I’ll hold the thought of seeing you on Facebook, if you’re not already there. My sincere good wishes to you all, as always.
Warmly, Lynda

A Seth Snippet...
"If you direct your inner self with confidence to steer you through your physical existence, it will do so. If you concentrate upon difficulties, you will not allow it to do so. For any negative focus (and underline negative) within egotistical reality will automatically block you."

A Seth Snippet...
"There is nothing more stimulating, more worthy of actualization, than the desire to change the world for the better. That is indeed each person's mission. You begin by working in that area of activity that is your own unique one, with your own life and activities. You begin in the corner of an office, or on the assembly line, or in the advertising agency, or in the kitchen. You begin where you are."

A Seth Snippet...
“There are no real rules to be followed that will bring you into an encounter with the present moment of reality – only a trust in the nature of your being. And that trust is within you whether or not you recognize it, for it gives you your present experience; and no matter how your mind questions, it resides securely in the great creativity of the soul.”

"It is not necessary that you learn about your own past lives, though it may be helpful if you understand that you chose the circumstances of your birth this time.

A Seth Snippet...
"Because of the simultaneous nature of time, beliefs can be changed in the present moment. There is no need to search endlessly into the past of this life or any other, for the 'original' causes for beliefs. Making a change in the present of a certain kind will automatically alter all beliefs 'across the board,' so to speak."

Dateline January 1, 2013: Celebrating the NEW Moment Point!
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
Hello Seth Friends!
We Sethies celebrate the start of our NEW YEAR within our individual culture's traditions, but this year I have a crazy suggestion to make. :-) Instead, let's celebrate the moment point in simultaneous time! Let's go right to the core of creation and claim it as the only time there is! Why? Because it's true. (Hey, we're Seth readers – everyone knows we're a little nuts anyway!)
Here's some interesting stuff Seth says about the moment point for himself and his colleagues: "Here, within the moment point, the smallest thought is brought to fruition, the slightest possibility explored, the probabilities thoroughly examined, the least or the most forceful feeling entertained.... The moment point is the framework within which we have our psychological experience." (Seth Speaks, Session 541)
And, what's just as interesting, Seth explains the moment point as it applies to us this way: "The moment point, as you think of it, is the creative framework through which you, the nonphysical self, constantly form corporeal reality; and through that window into earthly existence you form both its future and its past." And, "In your terms—the phrase is necessary—the moment point, the present, is the point of interaction between all existences and reality. All probabilities flow through it." (The first quote here is from The Nature of Personal Reality, Session 654, and the second from The "Unknown" Reality, Vol. One, Session 681.)
So, to help us better understand the power of the moment point, I've copied below a document now found in my Seth Talk, and it's called "What Would Seth Say to Me Today about Living in the Moment Point?" It's actually number two of a series, and the first "In the Moment Point..." doc can also be found there, both in PRINTABLE format. To me they collectively suggest to us we might want to learn how to use the moment point to our advantage since it is our window into simultaneous time, our point of creation. Enjoy, folks!
Okay, on to today's news...
MY NEW BOOK NOW PUBLISHED!
I'm thrilled to say my new book, Living a Safe Universe: A Book for Seth Readers, is now published! Instead of discussing it here, I give you words from Rich Kendall, author of The Road to Elmira and a member of Jane's ESP Class: "Lynda takes the reader deep into the heart of Seth's teachings, and one emerges with a new vision and understanding of concepts that will transform one's personal world, and thus the world in general. Highly recommended for all Seth readers who wish to take Seth's material to a whole new level." Currently my book's available in our SethNet Bookstore, on Amazon, and soon will be in the other outlets. Also, if you're on Facebook, its page is "Living a Safe Universe: A Book for Seth Readers." There's also a write-up on it, with lots of Sethie reviews, at SethNet in Seth-Influenced Media.
SAYING BON VOYAGE TO HARRY JOHNSON
As many of you know, we lost Andy Hauck in summer; and now Harry Johnson has also passed on. If you've attended US Seth conferences, you probably know Harry; and if you're from the UK, certainly you've heard of his great body of work over the years, and probably met him in person. Chris Johnson, Harry's son, has published an obituary on our SethNet site, but it's really a wonderful text article about Harry's life. Do peruse it, if you get the chance. A nice way to send our sincere appreciation and best regards to Harry, and Chris too. It's titled "UK Champion of The Seth Material Returns to Framework 2." Thanks so much, Chris! Your dad was one great person. Our thoughts are with you and your family.
SETH SPACE BECOMES SETH FORUMS
Jeff Kiefer, founder of Seth Space, has closed Seth Space and opened SETH FORUMS instead. Jeff and the participants on Seth Space determined the part of the site that drew the most attention was the forums, so Jeff made the decision to wholly focus on them. Here's some of what Jeff says on the home page of SETH FORUMS: "Please join us in lively discussions and spontaneous sharing of information. Many have found other like-minded friends here and we are always eager to welcome new members! Membership is free!" They have over 700 Sethies on the site, folks, so look for some interesting threads there!
2013 UPCOMING CONFERENCES
Here's the list of 2013 conferences we've been told about so far. You can read about them on our SethNet site in Conferences and Workshops:
West Coast Seth Conference, Los Angeles, January 26
California Seth Conference, San Mateo, CA, March 9-10
Seth Community Conference, Denver, September 12-15
SEE YOU AT THE CALIFORNIA SETH CONFERENCE!
After a three-year hiatus from speaking at conferences, I'm happy to say I'm baaack! I'll be with the gang on March 9-10 in San Mateo, CA, at the California Seth Conference. My topic will have to do with living a safe universe (big surprise, I know), and using the moment point to our great advantage to do so. Hope to see you there, folks!
That's it for now, my friends. Good to be with you, as always. Before I go, though, I offer you my ongoing invitation to become my Facebook friend. I'm at Lynda Madden Dahl. You'll meet lots of other Sethies (almost 900 of us at present, and growing daily), and share in some great discussions and Seth quotes. And if you've never been on Facebook, just click here to join. It's really easy, and you don't have to worry about posting any photos or even anything about yourself, just your name and an email address. It will be great to see you there! And once you're settled in, do visit another page I created called Seth/Jane Roberts Books and Info. It's really for newbies to the material, but I've posted some photos of Jane and Rob that are very interesting.
Take care, folks, and see you around the world of Seth, some time, somewhere. :-)
Hugs and Cheery 2013!
Lynda
Dateline October 24, 2012: Happy Ghosts and Goblins, Sethies!
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
Behold, Witches & Goblins!
And happy October! A riddle for you as we approach Halloween: What do Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, the Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Latin America, Mexico, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden and the United States have in common? We all celebrate Halloween in one form or another! While not all celebrate on October 31, all of us welcome back the spirits of our dearly departed, either with humor or more solemn rituals. Anyone want to take a guess at which one Seth might choose? :-) (And yes, for you oldies, I revived this snippet from a Halloween email from the past. Ha!)
As I sit here thinking about Seth and what great affection Seth readers have for him, I'm struck once more by how fortunate we are to have the old "ghost" and Jane and Rob share our realities, how wonderfully smart of us to have invited them in. Where would we be without them?
Well folks, there's not much news to report this time 'round; however there are three conferences we've been made aware of on the upcoming docket. One is this weekend, hosted by Rick Stack. Hope you can make it - his conferences are always great! You can check them out at Conferences and Workshops on our Seth Network site:
** East Coast Seth Conference, New York City, October 27, 2012
** West Coast Seth Conference, Los Angeles, January 26, 2013
** California Seth Conference, San Mateo (San Francisco Bay Area), March, 2013
And since we're short on news, I thought I'd offer you something else instead. I got to wondering what Seth says we are learning from the material from his perspective, and boy, was I surprised at how many comments he's made on the subject! After my sign-off, you'll find 16 Seth quotes on "YOU ARE LEARNING..." Quite intriguing, guys! And soon I'll have it posted in Seth Talk, Section Two, on our SNI site, where it will be easy to print.
Oh, one more note. If you’re on Facebook, I’d love to have you become my friend (Lynda Madden Dahl). You’ll meet lots of other Sethies (about 790 of us at present, and growing daily), and share in some great discussions. Good Seth quotes being thrown around all over the place, too! And if you've never been on Facebook, just click here to join. It's really easy, and don't worry about posting any photos or even anything about yourself. Just get the basics set up and then become my friend. It will be great to see you there! And while you're there, also check out another Facebook page I created called Seth/Jane Roberts Books and Info. It's really for newbies to the material, but I've posted some photos of Jane and Rob that are very interesting.
Witches flying past on broomsticks,
Black cats leaping here and there,
White-robed spooks on every corner,
Mournful moaning in the air,
Goblins peering out of windows,
Spirit-things that rap and run-
But don't be scared - it's just October,
And one more night of Halloween fun!
Have a great rest of October and a marvelous Halloween, everyone! Here's to pumpkins and bats and haunted houses and ghouls...and fun, fun, fun!
Hugs and good cheer from Southern California,
Lynda
Dateline July 4, 2012: LET FREEDOM RING! (ala Seth)
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
Hello Seth Friends at home and abroad, and Happy Independence Day to America! We beat the dastardly Brits and gained our Freedom!
Ahhh, but did we? Did any of us here really ever gain our freedom based on the linear time/cause and effect of war? True, that’s how the world defines freedom, but we Seth readers are not exactly conventional thinkers. So, how would we define it? More precisely, how would Seth define freedom, since he’s the one who offered us the new ideas that changed our thinking on the subject.
To help refresh our memories of what Seth says about freedom, I’ve compiled a list of quotes where he uses the word, and the composite picture the quotes make is breathtaking. True freedom, it turns out, is something no one can take away from us or offer back. It’s not theirs to take or offer; it is ours to individually manifest, because it is built into our consciousness, free of charge or wars.
I’ll place some of Seth’s freedom quotes at the end of this email for your enjoyment and warmth. And if you’d like to see the whole list, which is found on our website in Seth Talk, and which is significantly longer than what’s posted below, please click here: “What Would Seth Say to Me Today About Freedom?”
Speaking of Seth Talk, thanks to Jeff Kiefer, our resident genius site developer, it has been completely reorganized into sections, all with links and built-in print capability. In other words, it’s no longer one huge unwieldy document, but instead an easily maneuvered and nicely accessible offering. Whew, what a relief!
One more thing about Seth Talk. As part of the “What Would Seth Say to Me Today?” series, I’ve added another topic. This one is called “What Would Seth Say to Me Today About Living in the Moment Point?” This type of entry is specifically geared toward using the moment point to do just what Seth recommends – becoming more comfortable with the spacious present via the conscious mind, thereby allowing ourselves eventually to fully trust – which leads to living a safe universe. It's more complicated than that, but thoroughly explained in Seth Talk. If you decide to check it out, once you're in Seth Talk, scroll down to the yellow-bolded special note first, which is where the explanation starts, then scroll down to the links at the bottom of the page. – Here's to each of us replacing powerlessness with trust, guys!
Okay, in case you haven’t been keeping up with the list of upcoming Seth conferences, here it is, folks. And if you go to Conferences and Workshops on our site, you can read a little about each one. Please especially note the one in Taiwan. This is the first workshop they’ve offered for the international audience, and it’s called “Healing with the Seth Material.” It will be taught in Chinese Mandarin with simultaneous interpretation to English. To help promote it, they’re kindly offering a discount to a group of three or more people.
** Seth Community Conference, Denver, September 6-9 , 2012
** Online Seth Intensive Workshop, Internet, Oct. 3-Nov. 7, 2012
** Seth Education Foundation Workshop, Taiwan, Oct. 19-21, 2012
** International Seth Conference, Strasbourg, November, 2012
** California Seth Conference, San Mateo (San Francisco Bay Area), March, 2013
On the personal front, I have my own news to share. Three of my books are now in eBook format and available on Amazon, BarnesandNoble.com, etc. The Apple version will be in its store soon. The books, in case you’re wondering :-) are Beyond the Winning Streak, Ten Thousand Whispers, and The Wizards of Consciousness, all Seth-based (big surprise, I know). And a shout-out here to David Harrison, a Seth reader himself, for doing such a fine job of creating them. If you’re an author considering eBooks, his email is

And if you’re on Facebook, I’d love to have you become my friend (Lynda Madden Dahl). You’ll meet lots of other Sethies (about 650 of us at present, and growing daily), and share in some great discussions. Good Seth quotes being thrown around all over the place, too! And if you've never been on Facebook, just click here to join. It's really easy, and don't worry about posting any photos or even anything about yourself. I guess that’s it for today, folks. It was a pleasure to share time with you, and I sincerely look forward to it again down the road. Meanwhile, enjoy Seth’s comments below and LET FREEDOM RING!

Dateline April 3, 2012: HAPPY SPRING, SETH FRIENDS!
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
I've always loved spring, haven't you? To me it stands for new growth, deepening roots, emerging possibilities. And in a way, that's what I set out to feel and do with my third "What Would Seth Say To Me Today?" document at the end of this email.
If you recall, last fall I introduced you to this concept of mine, started long ago, where, usually in a state of desperation, I'd gather to me short Seth quotes that had meaning to me in that exact moment in time. Then I'd take my document with me on long walks, thinking about each quote individually and what it meant to me. What I was always trying to do was bring balance back into my life, where new growth could once again be encouraged to flourish.
So, what I decided to do last fall was share some of these documents with you in my newsletters, and today's is a continuation of that action, number three in the series to date. If you decide to use them like I do, then here’s what I’d suggest. Print the document, and during your quiet times or before sleep, read what Seth is saying as though he's talking directly to you . Maybe you’ll only read a couple of the quotes at a time, because you want to think about what they mean to you. Or maybe you'll cover a whole page of them at once. But whatever you do, be ready for the clarity and warmth and direction Seth brings to you, personally, in that moment.
Okay, before we move on to today's "What Would Seth Say To Me Today?" doc. (which, by the way, is also posted along with the others in Seth Talk on our Seth Network site), a couple updates for you news-wise.
SECOND SETH BOOK NOW IN JAPANESE
We recently heard from Masa Nishio, the founder of Seth Network Japan, that the second Seth book has now been printed in Japanese! The first, published years ago, was Seth Speaks, and now we have The Nature of Personal Reality. And more good news is that Masa was asked to write the Afterword. – Go Masa! Go Seth Network Japan!!
A COMPILATION OF Seth's 120 EXERCISES!
How many times have you remembered reading a Seth exercise on, say, finding and/or changing beliefs or sensing your greater being, and having no clue which book it might be found in? Thanks to Ger van Ooijen of the Netherlands, that problem now disappears. On the Seth Network site in Seth-Based Articles is a PDF compilation of 120 exercises from eight books, truly a gold mine for serious Seth readers! – Our sincere thanks and appreciation, Ger!
OVERSOUL SEVEN SCRIPT AWAITING FINANCIAL BACKING
Surely you've all read the Oversoul Seven trilogy that Jane wrote, right? Well, Seth reader and scriptwriter Sharianne Greer tells us she's completed the film script about Oversoul Seven, and it's been accepted by the producer who has the legal rights to the OS7 character. What they're looking for now is financing in various increments, so if you have an interest or know someone who might, here's Sharianne's email address: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . – How great would this be, folks? OS7 on the Big Screen!
SEE YOU ON FACEBOOK!
If you're on Facebook, do become a friend with me at Lynda Madden Dahl and spend time with lots of other Seth readers with interesting things to talk over. And while you're there, also check out another Facebook page I recently created called Seth/Jane Roberts Books and Info. It's really for newbies to the material, but I've posted some photos of Jane and Rob that are very interesting. I also created pages for my four books and Norm Friedman's two, and they can be accessed easily from my FB site, too.
Okay guys, I think what I’ll do now is sign off before pasting below the promised “What Would Seth Say To Me Today?” document. So take care, have great weather, and we’ll talk again down the road!
Hugs and cheers from Southern California!

Dateline January 1, 2012: HAPPY NEW YEAR, SETH READERS!
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012, Seth Readers! Another year under our collective belts, and a new one shining with dreams and possibilities awaits our creation. How very wise we are to have chosen this time and place, with Seth around to help us track a conscious path through our individual realities.
As we are well aware, some of our creations depend on our conscious goals, which many of us give significant thought to this time of the season. So it seems a no-brainer that we use what we can from the Seth material to help make this new year's journey as effortless and fulfilling as possible.
To help us along, I thought it might be useful to hear some of what Seth has to say about goals again - as you may recall, I posted a few last New Year's, too, and they are included with the ones below. So after a few other notes, I'll paste a gift from Seth to kick off the new year, 2012.
SETH'S NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS
It just would not be a proper New Year if someone didn't post Seth's resolutions. So, we are assuring the continuation of a wonderful tradition by providing an article that contains the four resolutions that Seth suggested to Jane and Rob on January 1, 1979. They provide a compelling reminder for all of us that one's focus creates, and that we can change our lives by changing our minds. While they get special mention on New Year’s Day, we should also remember that they are good reading on many other occasions throughout the year. These timeless gems may be found in Directory > Seth-Based Articles > Seth's New Year's Resolutions. Enjoy!
WHAT WOULD SETH SAY TO ME TODAY...ABOUT GOALS? - - NOW POSTED IN SETH TALK
In October 2011, I added another portion to my Seth Talk column on our Seth Network site, called Section Two: What Would Seth Say To Me Today? Instead of repeating what's written there about the purpose of Section Two, I'll just say that the second entry of quotes is the document on goals printed below. So you can copy and paste from there, if it works better for you. And if you haven't yet visited Seth Talk, you'll find dozens of Seth comments categorized by subject (for instance, Seth on Suggestion/Expectation and Seth on Trust) as part of an overall year-long monthly posting I did called Living a Safe Universe.
2012 SETH CONFERENCES
To date there are three 2012 Seth conferences scheduled (all info on the SNI site). New Awareness Network has a West Coast event in Los Angeles on January 21; the California Seth Conference has set aside March 3-4 for their fourth annual event, this time in San Mateo; and the Colorado Seth Conference (CSC) is scheduled for September 6-9. FYI, except for Jim Funk, the original CSC committee has stepped aside, and married couple Dana Beardshear and Jim Colvard have joined forces with Jim Funk to bring a newly tooled conference to Seth readers. We send them warm wishes and best regards with their endeavor!
LAUREL DAVIES-BUTTS AUCTION UPDATE
In the last newsletter we announced that Laurel, Rob's widow, would soon offer for auction some of Jane and Rob's collection, including an original manuscript and paintings by Rob and Jane; however Laurel has changed her mind. Will keep you posted if circumstances alter.
I also created pages for my four books and Norm Friedman's two, and they can be accessed easily from my FB page, too.
Okay, that's it for today on updates, guys. Now, as promised, the Seth quotes on GOALS. Enjoy, use, and may we all bloom in 2012! And a very Happy New Year from the beaches of Southern California to your part of the world.
Lynda

Dateline October 18, 2011: What Would Seth Say To You Today?
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
Hello Seth Friends, good to be talking to you again! After my months of sabbatical, I'm back with bells on (scares the heck out of my cat). I do have a few news items for you, but before we go there I'd like to explain what's going to be happening over the next several newsletters, and it starts with an explanation of something in my life.
Like many of you, I've been a constant reader of the Seth material for a long time, actually decades. I always have a book close by, and consider the material a daily part of my life. Years ago, pretty much out of desperation, I found myself wishing for much more personal contact with Seth's words in a way that would focus them down from the long quotes and deep treatment of subjects that brought such overall understanding to me.
Almost from my introduction to Jane's work, I'd been taking Seth quotes along on long contemplative walks, reading them in Psy-Time, and even kept a stack handy in the car to think about while driving. Now I wanted more, I wanted to have Seth’s words directed to me in a way that not only would help clear my mind of a given problem or concern, but could be more easily integrated into my mind as my blueprint for moment-by-moment thinking. So I wrote at the top of a page, “What Would Seth Say to Me Today?”, then went into the books looking for mostly one-liners and other very short quotes that addressed my need of the moment. Over time I expanded the subject line to include specific topics I needed immediate help with, such as my favorite, “What Would Seth Say to Me Today About Trust?”
So, what I’ve decided to do is share some of these documents with you over the coming newsletters. If you decide to use them like I do, then here’s what I’d suggest. Make them personal to you by recreating in Word your own document, done in your favorite font with the headings and some words highlighted in color. Print the doc, and during your quiet times or before sleep, read what Seth is telling you personally. Maybe you’ll only read a couple of the quotes each time because you want to think about what they mean to you, or maybe you'll cover a whole page of them at once, but whatever you do, be ready for the clarity and warmth and direction Seth brings to you in that moment.
Before the first Seth-say document, I did want to bring to your attention the upcoming Seth conferences on the schedule for the next couple of months (and found on our website). This coming weekend our friends in Germany and Switzerland will hold their 30th annual Seth conference, an accomplishment unparalleled in the Sethian world (sincere congratulations, guys!). And on November 12, Rick Stack’s annual East Coast conference will be in held in NYC, this year as a one-day get-together instead of his usual two. Same for Rick’s West Coast event in Los Angeles on January 21. Oh, and just an early heads up, the California Seth Conference has set aside March 3-4 for their fourth annual event, although it’s not been publicized yet.
One more bit of news, folks. Laurel Davies-Butts will soon offer for auction some of Jane and Rob’s collection. To date what will be included (perhaps with more to come) is the original manuscript for The Education of Oversoul Seven as well as signed copies by Jane of the three Oversoul books; and paintings by Rob and Jane. We have no date for the auction or how it’s to be conducted, but will get back to you later with its details.
I think what I’ll do now is sign off before pasting below the promised “What Would Seth Say...” document. So take care, folks, and we’ll talk again down the road at some undetermined time (meaning my emails to you may be more sporadic than they were in the past, when one a month was the norm). And if you’re on Facebook, do become a friend with me at Lynda Madden Dahl and spend time with lots of other Seth folks with interesting things to talk over.
With love and appreciation,
Lynda
P.S. I left a draft of this finished letter and quotes doc on my desk for several hours before emailing it to you because I got tied up in some other pressing issues. Happy to say it worked out well, because meanwhile the thought floated forward that adding these "What Would Seth Say..." papers to my Seth Talk blog on the website might be a good idea. So that's what I just did with this first one and will continue to do in the future. So you can read the quotes there, folks, if it suits you better.
(Folks, since the "What Would Seth..." is already on this site, I've deleted it from this copy of the email.)
Dateline June 3, 2011: Here Comes Summer...and More Seth!
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
Hi Seth Friends,
Welcome to the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer (in the Western hemisphere, anyway)! I won’t be back in email form for several months, so today I want to not only offer you Sethian news, but leave you with some marvelous thoughts from Seth on how to change our world for the better. Can’t hear enough about that from our friend, and lots to think about over soda and pretzels and beer, while wishing summer could always be here. (I sincerely hope most of you are old enough to pick up on Nat King Cole’s song, otherwise I sound like a really odd duck, LOL!)
Okay, for starters, then, here’s the latest news from the world of Seth:
RICH KENDALL’S “THE ROAD TO ELMIRA” NOW PUBLISHED
Jane’s ESP class member, New York Boy, and friend to many of us, Rich has finalized publication of The Road to Elmira, his first book, but not to be his last, on the subject of his time with Seth, Jane and Rob. And what a book it is! Here’s a quote from Seth to Rich, which sets the stage nicely: “As you sit and think and ask your questions, you sit and think and ask your questions not only for yourself but for many others. And so, the answers that are given are for you, and through you for many more.” It’s available through our SNI Bookstore and Amazon. – Sincere congratulations, Rich! Already can’t wait for Volume 2. :-)
TWO NEW CONFERENCES ADDED TO SETHIAN CALENDAR
We’re very pleased to say that New Awareness Network recently announced two upcoming conferences, New York City (November 12) and Los Angeles (January 21). Both conferences will be the third year’s offerings by New Awareness in these cities, truly becoming annual (three’s the charm, right?). This year’s new twist: the events will be one day, instead of two. Since Rick Stack is in charge, you are guaranteed a very focused Sethian experience, one not to be missed, if possible.
COLORADO SETH CONFERENCE JUST AROUND THE CORNER
The conference next in line for 2011 is in Denver on September 21-25. It’s the 11th get-together for Colorado Seth Conference, making it one of the longest running annual conferences to date. And this year’s topic is very intriguing (as usual for this group), and it is “Uncovering the Mysteries of the Unknown Realities.” A great way to end your summer, folks, and a yearly annual highlight for some.
SETH TALK FINAL ENTRY NOW POSTED
A year ago July I started writing Seth Talk, and just now finished and posted its 12th and final entry on our SNI site. The whole subject has been about redefining the self so that it becomes possible to trust enough to live a personal safe universe. Within that subject we covered the three creative dilemmas of All That Is, action, identities, the spacious present, significances, suggestion, the moment point, probabilities, mental acts, the inner self and entity, trust, and a safe universe. And the last entry is about bringing new definition to the self based on what Seth says in those outlined subjects. – Go Seth! I'll sign off up here, and then post Seth’s comments our subject of the day: changing our world. Have a very fine summer, my friends, and come visit me on Facebook (under Lynda Madden Dahl) if you're in the neighborhood. See you down the long, dusty road at summer’s end.
My best regards,
Lynda

Now sit back, relax, and absorb the words that can change the world as we currently know it.

SETH ON CHANGING OUR WORLD FOR THE BETTER
You will often condone quite reprehensible acts if you think they were committed for the sake of a greater good.
The ideal seems so remote and unreachable that sometimes any means, however reprehensible, eventually can seem justified.
To change the world for the better, you must begin by changing your own life. There is no other way.
Every time you affirm the rightness of your own existence, you help others. Your mental states are part of the planet's psychic atmosphere.
For a start you will acknowledge your existence in the framework of nature, and to do that you must recognize the vast cooperative processes that connect each species with each other one.
You begin by honoring life in all of its forms.
You begin by accepting your own worth as a part of the universe, and by granting every other being that same recognition.
You begin by changing your thoughts toward your contemporaries, your country, your family, your working companions.
You cannot love your neighbor, in fact, until you love yourself, and if you believe that it is wrong to love yourself, then you are indeed unable to love anyone else.
If the ideal of loving your neighbor like yourself seems remote, you will at least absolutely refrain from killing your neighbor – and your neighbor is any other person on the face of the planet.
In a manner of speaking, you must be a practicing idealist if you are to remain a true idealist for long.
______________________________________________________________________________________
You must take small practical steps, often when you would prefer to take giant ones – but you must move in the direction of your ideals through action.
Otherwise you will feel disillusioned, or powerless, or sure, again, that only drastic, highly un-ideal methods will ever bring about the achievement of a given ideal state or situation.
Developing your own abilities, whatever they may be, exploring and expanding your experience of selfhood, gives life a sense of purpose, meaning, and creative excitement...
When you do not take any steps toward an ideal position, then your life does lack excitement.
You become depressed. You might become an idealist in reverse, so that you find a certain excitement in contemplating the occurrence of natural disasters, such as earthquakes.
You may begin to concentrate your attention on such activities. You may contemplate the end of the world instead, but in either case you are propelled by a sense of personal frustration...
______________________________________________________________________________________
Each person alive helps paint the living picture of civilization as it exists at any given time, in your terms. Be your own best artist.
Your thoughts, feelings and expectations are like the living brush strokes with which you paint your corner of life's landscape.
If you do your best in your own life, then you are indeed helping to improve the quality of all life.
Your thoughts are as real as snowflakes or raindrops or clouds. They mix and merge with the thoughts of others, to form man's livingscape, providing the vast mental elements from which physical events will be formed.
I would like each of my readers to be a practicing idealist...
If you do this, your life will automatically be provided with excitement, natural zest and creativity, and those characteristics will be reflected outward into the social, political, economic, and scientific worlds.
This is a challenge more than worth the effort. It is a challenge that I hope each reader will accept.
The practical idealist... When all is said and done, there is no other kind.
Dateline May 4, 2011: SETH ON THE SAFE UNIVERSE
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
Hi Seth Friends,
It's good to be talking to you again, although I don't really have any Sethian news to pass on this month. I do, however, come bearing gifts. Lots and lots of gifts! Gifts that are both priceless and practical, and highly sought after by Seth readers the world over.
And what, you might ask, are these unique, sought-after gifts? Okay, you might not ask, but here it is anyway: A ton of amazing Seth quotes!
You had to be blind - or not in HTML - to not see the large bold heading displayed at the top of this email, so this will be no big surprise to you: the quotes are from Seth on The Safe Universe. It's purely coincidental that this month's newly posted Seth Talk entry on our SNI site is on this subject, too, dovetailing nicely and most serendipitously (don't you think?) with today's gifts.
I never know how many Seth quotes to put in one of my emails to you, because what I post on Seth Talk is usually a much longer presentation - and too long may be too boring in an email. But this time, since I have no news to fill space, I'll give you the whole enchilada, as we say in America (maybe in Mexico, too).
Because the list is lengthy and you may doze off halfway through, I'll officially sign off up here at the top. Have a very fine May, my friends, and come visit Seth Talk or me on Facebook (under Lynda Madden Dahl) if you're in the neighborhood. Until we meet again, here's to lighthearted instead of unenlightened constructions for us all!
My best regards, Lynda
.......................................................................................................................................................................................................
(At this point, folks, where the Seth quotes normally would be in our emails, instead please go to Seth Talk's last entry if you'd like to see them. They are identical to what you'd see there!
Dateline April 3, 2011: SPRING - AND TRUST - IS IN THE AIR!
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
Hello Seth Readers,
Spring has finally sprung (at least in Southern California) and a "newness" is in the air. Perhaps part of that newness is simply a new or different way of looking at things, and maybe a deepening of understanding brought about by our revitalized sight. And if that's the case, now seems a good time to revisit one of Seth's concepts that lays the groundwork for that magical "newness" to truly bloom into something special, something lasting through all seasons. And that something is trust.
And, big surprise, trust just happens to be the subject of my newly posted Seth Talk entry on our site. :-) It's also the subject of the quotes below, offered as a springtime gift in Seth's name to each and every one of us. They are a breath of fresh air, a suggestion of the growth that can happen with a little nurturing, a... Okay, okay, I'll stop with the spring thing! If it's boring me, it's surely putting you to sleep. So enjoy the offerings from our friend Seth with eyes wide open and no more lame spring references.
But before we get to Seth's comments, here's a little news from around the Sethian world.

SETH SPACE ANNOUNCES NEW MEETUP AREA ON THEIR SITE
SethSpace, the free premiere social networking site with over 620 Seth readers, has made an addition to their upgraded site called Meetup. Here's where Seth friends can publish their local Seth groups, meetings, book studies, workshops and all other things Seth-related.It's been fun to watch this site morph into an exciting place for our community to share ideas and events. - Go Seth! http://SethSpace.com
"What does it take, then, to make the leap from pure knowledge-based concepts that we fully accept as valid, to actually translating that knowledge into living a safe universe? This is no big secret, we all know the answer: a blending of knowledge and trust. Trust takes us beyond realization or accepted knowledge and into an awakening that constitutes a mental and imaginative leap that brings control and direction to our creations. Without trust, we cannot take the necessary and fulfilling step of living the results of our learning."
.............................................................
* And that trust is within you whether or not you recognize it, for it gives you your present experience; and no matter how your mind questions, it resides securely in the great creativity of the soul.
* If you cannot trust that which keeps you alive, what can you trust?
* …You must trust your own nature, for it has a purpose.
* …Trust the natural order of being; that conditions are largely conducive to it; that your needs will be met within the circumstances of that natural order; and that you are couched and supported.
* You cannot trust yourself and not trust yourself at the same time, without coming into some difficulty.
* You cannot equivocate. You either trust the self or you do not.
...............................................................................
* What is needed is a basic trust in the nature of vitality, and faith that all elements of experience are used for a greater good.
* Some people always feel safe and protected even when the events of their lives do not seem favorable.
* Regardless of their own doubts and worries, such people feel themselves supported, and feel that in the end everything will work out to their advantage.
* They take it for granted that their needs will be met, and that the universe is well-disposed toward them.
* Every event serves a purpose. Every event is offered for a reason. What is good? What is bad?
................................................................................
* The soul constantly creates the body, and each individual on the face of the earth at any given time places his or her trust in that reality.
* One of the greatest detriments to mental and physical well-being is the unfortunate belief that any unfavorable situation is bound to get worse instead of better.
* The body is equipped, ideally, to rid itself of any diseases, and to maintain its stability into advanced old age, with only gradual overall change.
* In these ideal terms, death would involve a closing down of your physical house; it would not be crumbling about you.
..................................................................................
* It is far better to trust, for you open up Framework 2 so that benefits become available that might otherwise not be.
* …He (Ruburt) did not have the courage of his convictions, and really made no attempt to act upon them. Had he left the gallery when his novel was published, he would by now have one and a half times his present income from writing. …
* He would have been acting out of expectancy, in league with subconscious as well as conscious need, and the impetus of wanting money would have given it to him, if he closed off the other means. He did not.
* When you begin trusting yourselves, you start by taking it for granted that to some extent at least you have not trusted yourself or your impulses in the past.
* When you learn to trust your feelings and your impulses, something very strange happens. They turn quite trustworthy.
* …In your larger picture there are no errors, for each action, pleasant or not, will be redeemed.
* And if it seems that a trust is betrayed in an individual case, the overall picture will prove to be far different.
* You must begin to trust yourself sometime. I suggest you do it now.
* Society would be restructured if the self were trusted.

Dateline March 8, 2011: SETH ON THE INNER SELF & THE ENTITY OR SOUL
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
Hello Seth Friends,
Good to be talking to you once again. It's always a pleasure to spend time with Seth/Jane/Rob readers, and one of the reasons is we can skip the beginner's basics and get to the meat of Seth's material without undue explanations needed first. That's how I feel each time I wrap a Seth Talk discussion on our SNI site, and it's on my mind because I've just posted a very long entry and lots of Seth quotes today. The subject is the inner self and, more briefly, the entity or soul. I'll get back to it in a minute, but first a bit of news.
....................................................................................................................................
SETH SINGLES SUSPENDS SITE
Jeff Kiefer, creator of Seth Singles, had some bad news for Seth readers on his pioneering site. In late February he told his members: "We are so very sorry to announce the closing of Seth Singles on March 1. It seems we're ahead of our time, without exposure to a large enough audience of single Seth readers to make a go of our site, at least in the short term. While we had a very strong response to the initial idea of a single site for readers, the actual action to join may bring up personal issues for some folks, keeping them off the site. So we'll wait until we have a much greater exposure to Seth readers and perhaps give it another try down the road." Kudos, Jeff, for giving enormous time and effort to this ahead-of-its-time project. You're the greatest! Hope to see Seth Singles flourish in the future, our friend.
For those of you who don't know, Jeff has given tirelessly of his time and expertise to Seth projects over the years, gratis. For instance, he's the creator of Seth Space, the 600-plus member social networking site, he designed and programmed our SNI site, and is the developer of the California Seth Conference site. And there's more yet to come from this very creative mind.
......................................................................................................................................
Okay, back to the latest Seth Talk entry just posted on the inner self and a little on the entity. Or perhaps I start first by saying how impressive your response has been to the great Seth quotes in the last two emails - the January one on goals, and February's on some of what Seth says about solving personal problems. Because of that response, I thought you might enjoy even more valuable and clarifying words from Seth, ones chosen not necessarily for beginners who might need more explanation, but more for the reader who's been around awhile. To set the stage, I'll reprint here the first paragraph from Seth Talk's new 9th entry, and then I'll follow it with only a few of Seth's quotes found with that entry:
** Those of us who have been around the Seth material for any length of time know the complexity of interrelationships between entities (also called souls by Seth) and inner selves and probable selves and dream selves and past, present and future selves, etc., etc. And we know we really cannot separate our “known” self from those other aspects of our overall identity. But if we want to understand today’s physical self in a much broader framework, we do need to focus down to one relationship that has an immediate, irrevocable, unquestionable impact on us. And that relationship is, of course, to our inner self.
SETH ON THE ENTITY OR SOUL:
There is a portion of you, the deeper identity who forms both the inner ego (inner self) and the outer ego, who decided that you would be a physical being in this place and time. This is the core of your identity, the psychic seed from which you sprang, the multidimensional personality of which you are a part.
(The soul or entity) is a field of concentrated action...a powerhouse of probabilities or probable actions, seeking to be expressed; a grouping of nonphysical consciousness that nevertheless knows itself as an identity.
The soul could be considered as a prime identity that is in itself a gestalt of many other individual consciousnesses...
The soul or entity is itself the most highly motivated, most highly energized, and most potent consciousness-unit known in any universe.
While I use terms like soul or entity, inner self, and present personality, I do so only for the sake of convenience, for one is a part of the other; there is no point where one begins and another ends.
You have immediate, instant personal connection with that which is.
You are hardly cut off from your own soul or entity.
You are a part of your soul. It belongs to you and you to it.
While you have a limited concept of the soul, then to some extent you cut yourself off from the source of your own being and creativity.
The soul is the creator of all experience, and of all destinations in your terms.
You are a soul.
.................................................................................................................................
SETH ON THE INNER SELF:
...The inner self being the portion of the soul that is within you.
You are far more than the conscious mind, and the self which you do not admit is the portion that not only insures your own physical survival in the physical universe which it has made, but which is also the connective between yourself and inner reality…
The inner ego (inner self) always identifies with the source-identity as a beloved, individualized portion of the universe. It is aware of the universal love that is its heritage.
The inner self is embarked upon an exciting endeavor, in which it learns how to translate its reality into physical terms.
It is the inner self, out of massive knowledge and the unlimited scope of its consciousness, that forms the physical world.
It is the inner self that organizes, initiates, projects and controls…transforming energy into objects, into matter.
It is of great value, then, that each person remembers this universal affiliation.
Such a reminder can often allow the inner self to send needed messages of strength and love, appearing as inspiration, dreams or simply bursts of feeling.
It is only through the recognition of the inner self that the race of man will ever use its potential.
............................................
You are meant to understand the nature of your inner self and to manifest it outward. As this is done, your exterior circumstances will change for the better as the inner self becomes more aware of its own nature and capabilities.
While the most basic work must be done by the individual, help is always available from a variety of sources, both within and without.
When the inner self is alerted (to a problem), it will immediately try to remedy the situation by an influx of self-corrective measures.
On occasion, when a problematic situation gets out of hand, the inner self will bypass those restrictive areas of the conscious mind, and solve the problem by shooting forth energy in other layers of activity.
The inner self will manage to work around the blind spots in the reasoning mind.
Often the inner self will sift from the barrage of conflicting beliefs the particular set that is the most life-giving, and send these in what then appears as a burst of revelation. Such revelations result in new patterns that can change behavior.
Impulses are inherently good, both spiritually and biologically. They emerge from Framework 2, from the inner self.
When you begin trusting yourselves, you start by taking it for granted that to some extent at least you have not trusted yourself or your impulses in the past.
.....................................................................................................................................

Dateline February 6, 2011: SETH ON SOLVING PERSONAL PROBLEMS
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
Hello Seth Friends,
Hope all is well in your lives. If not, perhaps the following Seth quotes can help. I don't have much news for you today, and since many of you seemed to appreciate the Seth quotes about goals in the New Year's email, I thought I'd offer up some more of Seth's nuggets, this time on what he might say if we asked him to help us solve any personal problems we're facing as the new year 2011 swings into fuller existence.
So settle into your student desk, get out your sharpened pencils and prepare to take notes as our good friend Seth lectures us on how to take back control of our lives.
*******************************
* At each and every point of your existence, the solutions to your problems, or the means of achieving those solutions, are always as present within your days as any given problem itself.
* The solutions to problems already exist in your lives. You may not have put them together yet, or organized them in the necessary ways. When you attend to what is there, with the proper attitude of mind, then the altered organizations can take place.
* She (Jane) was to stop worrying about such things and “adopt a position of divine nonchalance.”
* Whenever you are trying to rid yourself of a dilemma, make sure that you do not concentrate your attention upon it instead. This acts to cut out other data, and to further intensify your focus upon your difficulty.
* When you break the focus, the problem is solved.
* It is not virtuous to remind yourself of the poverty of others.
* Next: I am eternally couched and supported by the universe of which I am a part…
* If you hold grudges, if you concentrate upon past dissatisfactions with Prentice Hall to whatever degree, and if you project those differences into the future, then to that degree will such be your future experience with them.
* It does no good to say that Prentice Hall exists also outside of your experience with it – and that the people there have their own reality, for in such a way you put part of the responsibility upon another agency. In your world and experience, where your interests are paramount, and do rule, they form your reality.
* The burden of that relationship rests upon you, upon your expectations and those beliefs about the world that you have projected upon that company.
* Until you are honest with yourself and become consciously aware of yourself, you cannot honestly relate with others; you will project upon them your own fears and prejudices.
* The mental and psyche difficulties were concentrated into physical symptoms, and the system was rid of the difficulty in this manner. The problem was dealt with physically in other words—always, incidentally, the last resort.
* There is always the initial attempt to handle problems on a mental and psychic level. Physical illness represents the failure to deal with these sufficiently or effectively, and in all cases the intensity and severity of physical illness is in proportion to the severity and integrity of the inner problem.
* A chronic and long lasting physical symptom therefore represents…a chronic, fairly enduring inner problem.
* Contrary to usual opinion, periods of poor health are often the result of egotistic rather than subconscious manipulations. You become over-concerned with the egotistical situations, and hamper the inner self.
* Take for example the feeling: “I want to be comforted. If I were sick someone would feel sorry for me and comfort me then.” Such a wish is very seldom on a conscious level, but it is often emotionally charged, and it brings forth immediate results because of the charge it carries.
* Whenever you catch yourselves in moods of self-pity, you are courting just such results. There is no way out of this, you see. You simply must realize that self-pity, in your terms, is highly destructive.
* To change your world you must change your thoughts.
* When you fear the worst will happen, you often are showing quite real faith in a backwards fashion, for with no direct evidence before your eyes, you heartily believe it will occur.
* Besides stating your clear intent, having faith in the process, leaving the means and details in Framework 2, you have simply to refrain from worrying as much as possible…
* You will not discover the purpose and meaning of your life when you insist that it follow certain consciously predetermined roads – and while you concentrate upon what you do not have. This saps your energy and dulls your intuitions.
* You are not accepting life on life’s terms. You are demanding that it behave in certain ways, and take courses that you have consciously set upon. You are refusing to gladly accept life as life, as its own reason and cause within you.
* You say, “I don’t want any of this”. The inner self realizes, however, that potentials are present that would not necessarily be present under other circumstances – abilities that can not only help you but other individuals, and even society at large.
* You may say, "I was born in a house on a certain street in a certain town, and no present belief to the contrary will change that fact." If, in the present, one past event can be altered within your neuronal structure, however, then basically no event is safe from such change.
* To rid yourself of annoying restrictions then…you re-pattern your past from the present.
* Your desire or belief will literally be reaching back into time, teaching the nerves new tricks. Definite reorganizations in that past will occur in your present, allowing you to behave in entirely new fashions.
* Past events do not intrude (into the present) unless they are beckoned by the conscious expectations and thoughts that exist within your mind. The point of power is not in the past unless you abjectly decide to acquiesce to worn-out beliefs that no longer serve you.
* By changing the past in your mind, now, in your present, you can change not only its nature but its effect, and not only upon yourself but others.
* The more you enjoy life and your daily moments, the less difficulty you will be in, in any area, for your thoughts become naturally pleasant and naturally attract good to you from (the spacious present).
* You must be willing to change all the way from the old system of orientation to the new, if you want the new approach to work fully for you in your lives.
Great quotes to ruminate over, don't you think? As always, Seth comes through for us in a pinch.

And now on to a couple things besides solving personal problems you may be interested in:
BRIEF UPDATE ON 2011 CONFERENCES & WORKSHOPS
* Here's an interesting one for you. In Phoenix on March 5-6, there's to be a Seth-based workshop on organ regeneration. It's being conducted by Seth friends from Australia, Ken and Ann Graydon, and it sounds fascinating. You can read about it on our site at Directory > Conferences and Workshops > Phoenix.
* Do keep in mind that the California Seth Conference is just around the corner on March 5-6 in the San Francisco Bay area. It's their third annual get-together, and they've pulled together a great lineup of speakers. Enjoy!
* We now have the dates for the 30th International Seth Conference, to be held close to Pforzheim, Germany. It's October 21 to 23. Currently their website is only in German, but the English translation is coming soon, so keep checking our website for their announcement. As you can imagine, they have big celebration plans afoot. It sounds like its definitely time to party with Seth!
SETH TALK CONTINUES...
As most of you know, I've undertaken a project called Seth Talk on our website, and the eighth entry is now posted. It's called "Seth on Mental Acts: Thought, Emotion and Imagination; and Tips on How to Use Them." Keep your sharpened pencils handy for when you hit the plethora of Seth quotes at the end of the entry. Lots to learn there, my friends, and we couldn't learn from a better teacher.

Dateline January 1, 2011: Happy and Joyous New Year, Sethies!
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
HAPPY NEW YEAR, Seth Friends!
To help us along, I thought it might be useful to hear some of what Seth has to say about goals. So, here you are, a gift from Seth to kick off the new year, 2011:
* Your goals are usually conceptualized desires, and once formed they act in a fashion like magnets, drawing from those vast fields of interrelatedness the kinds of conditions best suited to their fulfillment.
* When the intellect is used properly, it thinks of a goal and automatically sets the body in motion toward it, and automatically arouses the other levels of communication unknown to it, so that all forces work together toward the achievement.
* When the intellect is improperly used, it is as if the intellect feels required to somehow know or personally direct all of those inner processes.
* Those desires of yours that are fitting to your nature will automatically come to pass, unless you block them through disadvantageous beliefs.
* They cannot be blocked by others. If they seem to be blocked by others, that assumption is incorrect, based on ignorance.
* Once you begin consciously working with the (spacious present), help, support, solutions, all begin to come your way, for you line up your conscious faculties with your unconscious ones, in the most beneficial way.
* Even when nothing shows in physical reality, all the proper circumstances and conditions are being brought together.
* Because the organization is so different, you must forget cause and effect, for things fall into place almost in a circular fashion.
* The intellect alone cannot bring about the fulfillment of those goals. It must count upon those other properties that it does indeed set in motion – that spontaneous array of inner complexity, that orderly magic.
* The intellect imagines the goal and imaginatively then attains it.
* The vital word is ease or effortlessness.
* Say, “That is not my realm. I will leave the solution to that problem or goal where it belongs.”
* Forget the questions and the mood that accompanies them in order to create the proper kind of atmosphere at another level of consciousness.
* If the proper creative and magical orientation is kept primarily in mind, other things will fall into place.
* The power of the universe is a personal one. When your intent is clear, events fall into place, from the most minute to the most momentous, that bring your desire to pass.
These quotes are not only clarifying, they're reassuring, aren't they? Gotta love and appreciate our Seth.

And now on to a couple things besides goals you may be interested in:
Enjoy!
2011 SETH CONFERENCES and WORKSHOPS
Hard to believe there were NINE conferences and workshops in 2010. That's the largest yearly number to date in the world of Seth, and may hold the record for awhile - at least through 2011. So far on the '11 docket there are five announced, and you can see the listing on our site at Directory > Conferences/Workshops. So far they start in March (California Seth Conference) and end in October with two very interesting ones. The Swiss group is having their 30th anniversary, so it will be a uniquely special occasion; and the folks in Taiwan plan to hold what they hope will be the largest global Seth event of its kind ever. We don't have dates or further information for either of these conferences yet, but stay tuned! And don't miss the online workshops offered by New Awareness Network and NewWorldView, found on our site in Directory > Conferences/Workshops > WEB.
SETH TALK - A SWIRL OF PROBABILITIES
Launched in July by me in a fit of blind optimism, Seth Talk's seventh entry is now posted on our site, and this one's subject is a mover and shaker - and very apropos to consciously creating our new year. It's about probabilities and how they play into the overall theme of Seth Talk, which is living a safe universe. IMO, we simply cannot get from here to there without bringing a heavy dose of reality to our thinking. And this entry's dose - probabilities - will nudge us even closer to understanding how our true self, honestly and without equivocation, brings about change. And as usual, there are Seth quotes galore on the subject at hand at the end of the entry, worth their weight in gold. - Go Seth!!
To sign off today, I offer one more Seth quote to buoy each of us as we approach the coming year: "True creativity comes from enjoying the moments, which then fulfill themselves, and a part of the creative process is indeed the art of relaxation, the letting go, for that triggers magical activity."
A very Happy New Year from the beaches of Southern California to your part of the world, my friends! Let's knock 'um dead in 2011!

Dateline December 1, 2010: A Happy Holiday Season, Folks!
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
Holiday Cheer, Seth Readers!
It's a pleasure to be able to say Happy Holidays to so many of you global Seth readers. And if you'd like a dose of Seth during this marvelous time of year, we've posted on our site "A Christmas with Seth," a compilation of some things Seth offers us about the season and our place in it. For instance, he says, "Look at the Christmas tree; your cells and molecules shine a million times more brightly. Your eyes glitter with far greater light. You are love in corporeal form. You do not have to look for it or wonder where to find it or give it in packages with bright ribbon. You are packages with bright ribbon." (Seth-Based Articles > A Christmas with Seth)
As the Sethian activity of the year 2010 winds down, we'll use December to catch our breath around SNI. We still have two items we want to bring to your attention, though, offered with good cheer - and the first with deep appreciation to so many of our creative Seth friends.
FIND THAT UNIQUE CHRISTMAS GIFT FROM OTHER SETHIES
With Christmas around the corner, we want to bring to your attention the many gifts that can be purchased through our friends in Seth-Friendly Businesses and Seth-Influenced Media. Gifts like specialty candles; unique dolls that look like whomever you choose; a subscription to an arts-entertainment-holistic newspaper; divination products; voice training; past life regression, hypnosis, channeling, psychotherapy, and LCSW sessions; life coaching; games and books; T-shirts with special sayings and images; a website for your favorite person; Seth conference DVDs and CDs; music CDs; even electrical services or real estate. You will find that your fellow Seth readers are quite a creative bunch. :)
SETH TALK - TRACKING TO A SAFE UNIVERSE
Seth Talk, launched on our SNI site in July, is moving right along with its purpose. Overall what we're exploring there is living a safe universe and redefining, or broadening, our definition of our self IN ORDER to live a safe universe. And this month's Seth Talk entry, just posted on our site, is about the moment point and how it ties together our previous subjects of All That Is, action, the spacious present, significances and suggestion. As Seth says, "The moment point is the creative framework through which you constantly form corporeal reality; and through that window into earthly existence you form both its future and its past." And as usual with each new Seth Talk entry, you'll find dozens of short Seth quotes that clarify his points about the given topic. - Go Seth!
Have a superb holiday season, friends, and see you in 2011! And Seth sends us his own unique regards to add to this festive time of year, so our last words of 2010 will go to him:
"Dance through your own molecules and scatter your own petals! And I bid you all a merry Christmas!"

Dateline November 3, 2010: A Happy Global Sethian Thanksgiving!
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
Hello Seth Readers!
In late November, the people of the United States celebrate Thanksgiving, a day in which thanks are offered for all the good things in our lives. While its origin is obviously American, I thought its significance might also be applied today to our global Sethian community by highlighting something that we share with great thanksgiving, perhaps even something that binds our hearts and minds together like no other idea can. It's at the basis of the Seth material, the platform upon which Seth assures us we stand, and toward which we all aspire, even if humbly at first. And it’s the idea of a safe universe.
Here is some of what Seth says about a SAFE UNIVERSE:
* You have an entire civilization and world set up about (these) beliefs…: that the universe is not safe; and that you must defend yourselves from enemies that come from without, and worst of all, from enemies that are within. And so indeed do you feel uneasy, and set up your barriers, and run as fast as you can…from those enemies that are the result of a one-line official kind of consciousness.
* You need not say, “The universe is safe,” for, at your present levels, that will only enrage you! You say instead, “I live in a safe universe,” and so you shall.
* The belief in an unsafe universe sets up certain habits of resistance, and more practically, of self-protection. The idea of prevention is always based upon fear – for you do not want to prevent something that is joyful.
* In an unsafe universe you run your personal life along certain lines. You do not trust good fortune; indeed, it seems practical not to trust it. It does not seem to belong in an unsafe universe.
* You cannot equivocate. You cannot say, “I live in a safe universe but but but” anything. The threat will follow you and erupt in one way or another.
* When you begin to realize that you do indeed live in a safe universe, these patterns of reaction begin to break up. The safe universe then becomes “practical,” where before it was not considered so.
* There is nothing in mental or physical reality that you ever need fear, for you are filled with the vitality of All That Is, and it protects you. You must simply allow it to do so.
Our combined global thanks to you, Seth and Jane and Rob, for opening our thoughts and minds to the incredible idea of a safe universe and all it implies. It’s a gift beyond compare and one for which we are truly grateful. Happy Thanksgiving to our favorite threesome!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, on to more thanks, this time to some Sethies who offer their time and effort graciously and with good intent.
FREE DREAM DIARY SOFTWARE FOR YOU!
For all of you focused dreamers who use Windows or Unix, Seth reader Justin Smith offers you a marvelous gift. In Justin’s own words: “I use Linux extensively and couldn't find software for keeping a dream-diary. So I wrote my own in Perl and released it under the GNU-open source license. Full source-code is provided as well as standalone applications.” Read more about Justin’s gift on our site in Seth-Influenced Media > Free Dream Diary Software for Windows and Unix Systems.
FREE INDEX OF 11 SETH BOOKS, by SUE WILLIAMS
Sue Williams is an amazing woman. A few years ago she manually indexed most of the Seth books into one combined index, a feat that only a very agile mind could accomplish. Since that time there have been several postings of the index, which Sue wants freely distributed, and one of the best is found on NewWorldView. If you do any research at all, don’t miss Sue’s incredible gift! http://newworldview.com/library/Williams_S_Seth-Index.html
CALIFORNIA SETH CONFERENCE ANNOUNCES 2011 DATE
Mark your calendar, folks! The third annual California Seth Conference is set for March 5 & 6 near San Francisco Airport. It’s the first Seth conference of 2011 to be announced, and Lawrence Davidson tells us it will be held at the Clarion Hotel again, in Millbrae. Like going back home each year!
TWO EARLY CLASS SESSION BOOKS RELEASED IN 2010
This is not breaking news, in that Vols. 3 and 4 have been out for several months, but because they’re not available on Amazon or anywhere else except the publisher’s site (New Awareness), we just wanted to make sure you’re aware of them. Also, speaking of New Awareness, their last conference of the year is happening November 13-14 in NYC. One final opportunity to share a fine 2010 weekend with other Seth readers, so don’t miss it! (New Awareness information is listed on our site under Conferences and Workshops.)
SETH TALK’S LATEST ENTRY IS UP!
Seth Talk, launched on our SNI site in July, is continuing the discussion of living a safe universe, and this month’s topic is Suggestion/Expectation. The whole of Seth Talk is about redefining or broadening our definition of our self by viewing creation from the spacious present instead of through the lens of linear time/cause and effect. And as usual with each new entry, you'll find dozens of short Seth quotes that clarify his points about the given topic. Go Seth!
That’s it for today, folks. A Happy Sethian Thanksgiving to everyone in our global community, and a fine November to you all!
Hugs and good cheer from Southern California,
Lynda
Dateline October 8, 2010: SETH SINGLES IS NOW A REALITY!
Jeff Kiefer worked out all the loose ends to his new site this week, folks, so it's now open for members. As I said in the October 1 SNI newsletter, "If you're looking for a dating relationship, Seth Singles is definitely the place to go. But even better for some folks is that Seth Singles is a FRIENDSHIP site, too, a place where global Sethies can meet other single Seth readers and simply get to know them as friends. Maybe they'll plan to see each other at conferences or workshops, maybe chat on the phone, perhaps meet for dinner. Just having fun! That's what Seth Singles is all about. And that's what Seth tells us to do - just have fun. So....Go Seth Singles!!"
Dateline October 1, 2010: HAPPY GHOSTS & GHOULS, SETHIES!
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
Behold, Witches & Goblins!
And happy October! A riddle for you to start the month: What do Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, the Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Latin America, Mexico, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden and the United States have in common? We all celebrate Halloween in one form or another! While not all celebrate on October 31, all of us welcome back the spirits of our dearly departed, either with humor or more solemn rituals. Anyone want to take a guess at which one Seth might choose? :-)
As I sit here thinking about Seth and what great affection Seth readers have for him, I'm struck once more by how fortunate we are to have the old "ghost" and Jane and Rob share our realities, how wonderfully smart of us to have invited them in. Where would we be without them? And where exactly have they taken us?
Where they have taken us must surely depend upon where we individually choose to go. For many of us Jane defined quite clearly the beginning of our journey in the first verse of "A Psychic Manifesto," in The God of Jane, even if we had never read the poem previously. And it goes like this:
My life is its own definition.
So is yours.
Let us leave the priests to their hells and heavens,
and confine the scientists to their dying universe
and accidentally created stars.
Let us each dare to open our dream's door,
and explore the unofficial thresholds, where we begin.
Do you hear in Jane's voice what I hear? The courage, the defiance, the frustration, and ultimately the hope and determination? And does it not mirror our own feelings? Perhaps not for everyone who reads this note, but for many of us, yes. Lucky us.
Okay, on to explorations of another sort now...
SETH SINGLES IS BECOMING A REALITY!
YES! Seth Singles is ready to launch! Jeff Kiefer, the mastermind behind Seth Space and our SNI site, expects to open the doors OCTOBER 4. And more great news from Jeff - he's giving a gift of FREE membership until January 1, 2011, and then a very low monthly fee of $4.95. And there's more good news from Seth Singles. If you're looking for a dating relationship, Seth Singles is definitely the place to go. So....Go Seth Singles!! -- (www.sethsingles.com)
SETH TALK - MOVING AWAY FROM HAPHAZARD & UNENLIGHTENED CONSTRUCTIONS
Seth Talk, launched on our SNI site in July, is moving right along with its purpose. Overall what we're talking about there is living a safe universe and redefining, or broadening our definition of, our self. They go hand-in-hand - like love and marriage, you can't have one without the other, as the song goes (oh, what a quaint idea!). So to reach a personal safe universe we need to see our self differently, which will then help us approach physical reality in a manner that truly allows us to become conscious creators unburdened with what Seth calls haphazard and unenlightened constructions. And this month's Seth Talk entry, just posted on our site, is about significances and subjective continuity in the spacious present - not at all as dry as it sounds! With this vital subject we start to move into the "how" behind using the spacious present to our great benefit and further away from a belief in cause-and-effect/linear time being the controlling element of our physical realities. And as usual with each new entry, you'll find dozens of short Seth quotes that clarify his points about the given topic. Not to be missed, those quotes!
SETH GROUPS REORGANIZED
And one other note, this one for those interested in finding Seth groups. We've reorganized the listings in Seth Groups/Networks alphabetically by city, state or country (depending on what's appropriate to the group), so finding a group in your area is now a piece of Halloween cake. And if you're in a group that's not yet listed, the evil eye will getcha!
LAST CALL FOR CONFERENCES
By now you have to be new to the Seth world or brain-dead (zombie, perhaps? Ohhhhh...) if you've missed all the talk and written word about the plethora of 2010 Seth conferences and workshops. We're down to the last three for the rest of the year now - Los Angeles (Oct. 23/24), Switzerland (Oct. 22/24), New York (Nov. 13/14). You can get further info on all of them on our site under, surprisingly, Conferences & Workshops.
In closing, I leave you with this Halloween poetry from an anonymous source (staying anonymous was probably a good idea):
Witches flying past on broomsticks,
Black cats leaping here and there,
White-robed spooks on every corner,
Mournful moaning in the air,
Goblins peering out of windows,
Spirit-things that rap and run-
But don't be scared - it's just October,
And one more night of Halloween fun!
Hugs and good cheer from Southern California,
Lynda

Dateline September 4, 2010: NEWSY EMAIL FROM SNI
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
Hello Seth Friends,
So basically this email is simply to tell you that the newest entry is now up on Seth Talk. It's about the spacious present, and arising out of it, camouflage reality. The overall theme of the ongoing Seth Talk is "Living a Safe Universe," with a redefinition of the self a key part of the equation. As with the last entry on July 29, there are tons of not only great, but at times stunning, quotes by Seth.
Another interest of mine got dropped almost completely this past month, that of conversing with you Seth friends on my Facebook page. But I'm back now, for what it's worth. (For you newbies to SNI who are on FB, my page is listed under Lynda Madden Dahl.)
With that I'll sign off for today. Like I said, short and sweet! Do drop by SNI and check out the new and updated listings and photos now up. As usual, they show the breadth and scope of our very vital Seth global community.
My sincere best to you all,
Lynda
Dateline July 29, 2010: NEWSY EMAIL FROM SNI
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
Greetings Seth Readers, I hope this note finds you happy, healthy and optimistic. Which leads into a marvelous Seth quote, good for our private as well as world lives. (Nov. 29, 1978, Personal Sessions, Vol. 5. The spacing is mine for emphasis).
"Natural optimism is a power in the individual and in the world. It believes...
in triumph
in pleasant, unpredictable surprises
in unexpected solutions
in joyful occurrences.
It is like the child’s anticipation of Christmas Eve,
and it is biologically ingrained."
Last month in a fit of unbridled optimism, I launched Seth Talk on our SNI website. I am happy to say my natural optimism paid off. Thanks, folks! What a pleasant, unpredictable surprise! And while we're on the subject of the triumphant launch of Seth Talk, I'll mention that Entry #2 is now posted. We're still on the subjects of action, the three creative dilemmas and identity, but now there are many Seth quotes to dive into, the first of eleven quote docs to come.
Ahhh, but Seth Talk's triumph isn't the only joyful occurrence lately in the Sethian world. Feast your eyes on these tidbits:
* Thought you might want to check out SNI's photo gallery. I recently uploaded a 1996 shot of Rob with seven of us (six in the picture, one behind the camera) during a visit to Elmira. I also posted one of Rob in front of the Water Street apartment taken that same weekend, as well as one of Jane from Rob's personal collection (although it's been published before). To see them, go to the Gallery > Seth Friends and Just Plain Fun, to its last page).
* Another great photo to check out in the Gallery shows a painting by Don Hutchinson. It's a composite picture of Rob's well-known paintings of Seth and Jane in the background, and a photo of Rob from SethNet '97 Elmira in the foreground. Don and his wife Dorcas had prints made of this truly marvelous work and graciously gave one to SNI. (Again, go to the last page of the Gallery to see it.)
* Hey, Downunder! Australia now has a Seth Group! As does the Netherlands! I'm happy to say SNI played a role in the formation of these groups by getting their coordinators in touch with Seth readers in each country via our email database. And we'd be pleased to do it for you, too. We can't zero in by city, just state, province or country, but it starts the interest brewing. To learn more about groups old and new, go to Seth Groups/Networks. And note the great outdoor photo of the Dutch folks on their first get-together.
* More pleasantly triumphant news, this time for our German-speaking Seth friends. Maurizio Vogrig (Switzerland) sent us a copy of their first newly designed magazine, Multidimensional Reality, and it is beautifully crafted. Their second edition is at the printers as we speak. For more info, go to Seth-Friendly Businesses and look for "Swiss Seth Readers Publish Seth Books and Magazine."
* German-speaking Sethies, another tidbit for you. The annual International Seth conference (in Zurich this year) is on October 22/24. Its two themes: The Magical Approach and Hypnosis. They've invited a famous hypnotist to do both a show and a workshop, which should be a joyful occurrence. :-) Learn more about the conference at Seth Conferences/Workshops. Their link also takes you to an English version of the conference information.
* And still on the subject of pleasant and optimistic conferences, don't forget the upcoming Colorado Seth Conference Sept. 9/13, with a theme of Listening: What Stories Do You Hear?; the West Coast Seth Conference Oct. 23/24, with a theme of Celebrating Seth; and the East Coast Seth Conference Nov. 13/14, with the same theme as the West, Celebrating Seth. Learn more about these joyful events at Seth Conferences/Workshops.
* Jeff Kiefer, our friend and developer of Seth Space (now with 550 members!), tells us the site has been upgraded and expanded to include features such as the ability to: directly connect with your Facebook page; synchronize your Seth Space information with your stuff on Facebook; create events and invite folks to your event; and more features are coming in the future. Seth Space really is a terrific site, guys. Just reading the threads is a kick! (Breaking news: just before we sent this email, Jeff told us the site was down due to hackers. The system message says, "Your Account Has Been Suspended." Ignore it! For status updates on the situation, go to our site and click on the tab Seth Space/Seth Singles.)
* And for you patient single Sethies, Jeff says the software he's been awaiting has just been released and is in testing. Once he knows it's stable, he will start development of Seth Singles. It will most likely take months to complete, given Jeff's busy schedule, but he said we can hope to see it before the end of the year. Keep the faith, guys, and know that unexpected solutions are on the way! (For Seth Single status updates, go to our site and click on the tab Seth Space/Seth Singles.)
Now that I have built your anticipation of a visit to our SNI site equal to that of a child's anticipation of Christmas Eve, I'll sign off. Oh, one more thing. As I mentioned in the last email, if you're on Facebook do drop by my site (Lynda Madden Dahl) and meet some other Sethies. Good quotes being thrown out all over the place!
Take care, everybody, and keep that natural optimism flowing!
Hugs and good cheer from Southern California,
Lynda
Dateline July 1, 2010: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SNI! -- & WELCOME TO SETH TALK!
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
Happy birthday to SNI! Sweet one year old and growing like a weed - an old American saying, international folks. :-) We started with a blank slate on July 1, 2009, and now ... a drum roll, please ... have email readers in 46 countries; 150 directory listings; 295 Gallery photos; 43 news items in Seth World News; and almost 20,000 visitors this year. We've corresponded one-on-one with hundreds of Seth readers around the globe, created and held two Seth-intensive weekend workshops, and brought you twice-monthly newsy emails for most of the year. It has been a fulfilling, interesting and very busy time.
Speaking of busy, in our last email to you we talked about how both Michael and I were in overload due to other professional commitments beyond SNI, and because of it would have to reorganize - which we did, partially by dropping the last two of four scheduled weekend workshops. But since then Michael has doubled down on "busy" by accepting a terrific position with a company 2,100 miles from his and Mary's home in Eugene, Oregon, necessitating a heavy travel schedule between home and corporate office, to say nothing of riding an impelling learning curve. In order to stay completely sane, Michael has had to cut back even further on his time devoted to SNI. Which means a couple things: we will not launch an SNI Facebook page this summer, as announced in the last email, and probably will not offer many Seth World News write-ups about specialized items and people that reach our attention.
So what I'll be doing with Seth Talk, among other things, is posting some of these quotes, nested together into a composite picture of what Seth says about certain subjects, such as action (also called the vitality of All That Is, or the crux of creation), or the spacious present (the only place where action happens), or significances (the true cause and effect, and brought about by action [thought, expectation, etc.] and happening in the spacious present, because that's the only time there is). Etcetera, etcetera. I'll post a new entry periodically (hopefully at least once a month), and those of you on our email list will get a heads-up when one appears.
So, to kick off Seth Talk, the first offering is now on our website. It's a long one because I wanted to give you some background about the purpose of the first grouping of Seth subjects to be reviewed over time and where they will eventually lead us. I hope Seth Talk will prove to be an intriguing journey through the Seth material from a different perspective than reading the books one at a time from cover-to-cover allows us, because the subjects and their content will be gathered from all books yet will be topic specific.
And how could I close without waving the flag for the coming of Seth Singles? Jeff Kiefer, its wizard of creation, tells us it's hopefully on the horizon for later this summer. So hang in there, single Sethies, it's solidifying in Framework 2 as we speak!
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
Hi, Lynda here. Michael and I have learned a lot in the almost 11 months of the new SNI’s existence. One thing is that there is a very large contingent of Seth/Jane readers spread across the globe, many with no direct tie to other Seth readers. We’ve also learned that Seth readers in general are very much interested in some level of communication with others of like mind. And thanks, of course, to today’s online technologies, the vehicles are in place that allow communications great and small to happen.
Another thing we’ve learned is that SNI is well positioned to become over time a major focal point for Seth readers, a place to check into occasionally for the latest news about the world of Seth and where to find other Seth outlets, such as websites, blogs, conferences, articles, businesses, etc. We believe this to be the case because of the many thousands of visitors to our site since its inauguration and the fast growth of our email database.
And what Michael and I have also learned is that the SNI workload, even in our still formative beginning, is significant. Compounding the workload at present is the fact that both Michael and I run other companies that demand much of our time; and also that we’ve announced and launched four 2010 weekend-long workshops in the U.S. The planning, preparation and content creation of the workshops has taken dozens of hours, and as we saw with our first workshop two weeks ago in San Mateo, CA, each workshop will actually take a minimum six days of our time – two for the class itself, two travel days, and at least one prep day before leaving town and another when we return.
There is actually a point to telling you all of this. :-) We’d like you to know our short-range plans as well as give you a glimpse of what the future holds. First, we want to announce that our second workshop (in Boston on May 22-23) will be our last - we’re canceling Portland and L.A. The time we’ve already devoted to the workshop program has significantly limited our ability to stay on top of SNI, let alone promote its growth. And where the workshops reach a relatively small number of people, SNI overall has the potential to reach the world of Seth readers. Ergo, our reprioritizing.
Which brings me to what is next for Seth Network - its growth, partially defined as finding the alone global Seth readers and introducing them to a world of like minds. Which is what we’ve been doing these past 11 months, but soon even more so. To help find them, this summer we will launch an SNI Facebook page that guides them to SNI’s website; and once found, we want to offer them (and you oldies) more content on our SNI site, especially more news bulletins, articles and introductions to Seth folks (such as we’ve done in past emails and in Seth World News). There’s more, and we’ll get back to you later with those plans. For now we just wanted to give you a brief overview and explain the cancellation of the two workshops. (By the way, my personal Facebook page is found under Lynda Madden Dahl, and you’re invited to drop by for a visit.)
And don’t forget Seth Singles is coming this summer! (Like you could possibly forget, what with our constant reminders – LOL!) Here’s to the singles of the Sethian world. Their day is coming…. Go Seth!
Dateline April 18, 2010: A SPRINGTIME HELLO FROM SNI
(Following is an email we sent today to our database, and for those of you not on our address list, we thought we'd like you to see it.)
Hi Seth Friends: It has been well over a month since we sent you one of our newsy emails - a long interlude, historically speaking. And we're sorry to say this one is only a stop-gap until things calm down in my So. California-based life and Michael's Oregon-focused one (with wife Mary Rouen). Part of the restive nature of current events is because our first 2010 SNI weekend workshop launches next week in San Mateo, and you can imagine the workload that generates. And the fact that Michael and I each run companies not associated with SNI - both of which seem to be in hyper-drive at the moment - limits our (linear) time.
But because SNI has had so many new folks sign up via email, we did want to welcome our newbies, say hello to our oldies, and wish everyone a very pleasant spring. Some of you we'll see in San Mateo next weekend or in Boston on May 22-23 (early bird special price ends April 22), and we're seriously looking forward to sharing with you laughs, serious discussion, and even a drink or two in the evenings. :-) And we'll be back online with more newsy emails for all of you down the road. (Who can forget our exciting coming announcement of Seth Singles?!)
So, that's it for now, folks. Talk to you when things calm down. And never forget our rallying cry - Go Seth!
The best of everything, Lynda (Dahl) and Michael) Steffen
Dateline March 15, 2010: YOUNG ADULTS AND SETH, COMING TOGETHER SOON
In our website's home page intro letter, we say one of the desires of SNI is to find the youthful Seth readers, or what we consider young adults (teens through 20s). But we don't only want to just find them, we want to bring them together with each other. The project, long latent in our minds, took on greater significance in early March at the California Seth Conference when Paul Giurlanda, professor at St. Mary's College in San Francisco, gave a talk on how he brought Seth to the attention of his mostly Catholic students during his course "New Age Spirituality in America." (See Seth World News, Dateline Feb. 1: Seth Goes to College.) The frosting on the cake of Paul's conference talk was when he introduced four of his students and asked them to talk about their experience with the Seth material. None of them had been into "new age" when the course began, and most took the class because it filled a requirement for graduation. But after reading a couple chapters of The Seth Material, to a person they found themselves more drawn to Seth's ideas than to the objective academic paper they had to write on the book; and all are now actively reading Seth.
What struck us most, beyond the obvious implications of what the young people said, was that Paul's students were lucky. They had each other among which to bounce ideas, concerns and understandings as they grapple with the material. Many, probably most, young adult Seth readers don't know another person reading the books, let alone anyone their age. It started us thinking about what we can do on our website to facilitate meetings and conversations between this age group. We haven't laid out a plan yet, but at least it's percolating now. So stay tuned, folks. We'll get back to you when Seth Young Adults becomes a reality!
Dateline March 14, 2010: A FABULOUS SNI WORKSHOP OFFER FOR YOUNG SETH READERS
As part of our desire to get young Seth readers together to discuss the material, we're pleased to announce that SNI is offering a free registration to Seth readers under the age of 22 to any of our 2010 "Living a Safe Universe" workshops (see Workshops for further detail). If you know of a young adult who might enjoy participating in one of our events, please have them check out the information posted on our site, and make them aware that we will be in San Mateo, April 24-25; Boston, May 22-23; Portland, July 17-18; and Los Angeles, 21-22. If they're interested, have them write us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and we'll send them special registration information. We'd love to see young readers participate in what we believe will be electrifying and inspiring events, and have them share with readers of all ages the heady sense of pioneering the Seth material toward breakthrough understandings that have very practical import on our lives. Perhaps you might consider joining us as well. :-) Go Seth!
Dateline March 10, 2010: SWISS SETH READERS TAKE ACTION WHEN BOOK INTEREST WANES
In 1979, the first Seth book in German was published, soon followed by others. The books caught the attention of folks in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, and in 1981 were so popular that readers formed the International Seth Organization in Switzerland, offering annual conferences - still in effect - in one of those three countries. But the public's interest eventually waned and the large publishing houses lost interest in the Seth books. Then, in 1999, Swiss Ursula Lang met Rob Butts at SNI's Elmira conference, and a Ouija board session convinced Rob that it was time to renew publishing efforts in German. Upon returning home, Ursula teamed with Maurizio Vogrig and formed Seth Publishing Company. To date they've published all nine of The Early Sessions, The God of Jane, and Sue Watkins' Speaking of Jane Roberts, with more to come. And this April they will rejuvenate online The Multidimensional Reality, the magazine of the International Seth Organization. And what drives Maurizio and Ursula to commit so much time and effort to their projects? Their strong desire to help revive interest in the Seth material. ** It's quite a story and can be read in both Seth-Friendly Businesses and Other Seth Sites under "Swiss Seth Readers Publish Seth Books and Magazine." Our hats are off to you, Ursula and Maurizio! You guys are great!
Dateline February 26, 2010: LIVING THE SAFE UNIVERSE YET?
A reminder to come join us in the San Francisco Bay Area April 23-24, folks, for the first of four US workshops offered by Seth Network. Its topic: Living the Safe Universe: Trust and Its Pivotal Role in Conscious Creation. Go to Workshops for details, folks, especially about the Early Bird special price.
BREAKING NEWS, SETH SINGLES UPDATE, Feb. 26

So we'll get back to you with a final date once Jeff's ready. Meanwhile, do visit Seth Space, Jeff's hot social networking site launched last summer (and a tab link on our site).
BREAKING NEWS, SETH SINGLES, Feb. 14
Sorry folks, we just got word that due to technical difficulties, Seth Singles will not open today. March 1 is guestimated to be the new launch, but if it happens sooner, we'll let you know.

A big event is approaching for the Sethian Chinese community. Dr. Hsu has been reading Seth for over 15 years and in 2008 started the Seth Education Foundation. (He is also a past president of the Chinese New Age Society.) You can read Dr. Hsu's bio in Seth-Based Articles, as well as an article written by him about the work he's done with cancer using Sethian ideas; and you can see many photos in the Gallery > Seth Groups/Networks > Taiwan Seth Education Foundation. Dateline February 11, 2010: A NEW YORK BOY WRITES ABOUT HIS ESP CLASS EXPERIENCES
Interested in learning what it was like to experience Seth Class first hand? Meet Rich Kendall, one of the NY Boys who is writing a retrospective of the time he spent in Jane’s ESP class in the 1970s. Rich is a fabulous writer and speaker who has been involved with the Seth material in many capacities. From publishing books to producing videos to writing and speaking, Rich has been intimately involved with the material since first attending class. Recently he spoke at the annual Swiss International Seth Conference, and has posted on our site an intriguing set of insights from that conference that goes beyond just a discussion of activities in ESP class. These reflections, found in Seth-Based Articles and titled Viva la Différence, provide an insightful perspective about people, beliefs and the richness found in our differing perspectives. In his upcoming book, Seth Speaks to Me, Rich reports on his experiences during class and on the long journeys back and forth from NYC to Elmira each week. A sample chapter of this work in process is posted in Seth-Based Articles, with the same title as his book. Rich is considering self publishing the work, but would be happy to respond to prospective publishers. Do stop by his website at www.richkendall-productions.com and meet our good friend.
Dateline February 1, 2010: SETH GOES TO COLLEGE!
Have you ever wondered how Seth’s influence might find its way into some of our mainstream religious and educational institutions? Well, wonder no longer. We have found at least one example in the person of Paul Girulanda. Paul is a former (24-year) De La Salle Christian Brother who is a professor at St. Mary's College of California in San Francisco. Following a powerful past life regression, he started reading Seth and, after a time, got hooked. His interest in the material led him to include Seth as a featured part of a course he recently taught on “New Age Spirituality in America”. The account of how things went is contained in a “must read” article (as titled above) in Directory > Seth-Based Articles, in which Paul describes “… what happens when you give 15 healthy college students a copy of The Seth Material and require them to read it.” It is a fabulous story. And the associated listing contains more about Paul’s intriguing background. Don’t miss it! (FYI, Paul is to be the master of ceremonies and a speaker at the California Seth Conference in the San Francisco area March 6-7.)
Dateline January 15, 2010: A BLOW-YOUR-SOCKS-OFF SNI WORKSHOP COMING SOON
Just three months to the first of four Seth Network workshops for the year, folks. Those of you with SNI in the 1990s may have attended our very popular Consciously Creating Change workshops. Trust us when we say our new one will blow your socks off. If you heard Lynda’s talk at the 2009 conferences in Maine, San Francisco area, L.A or NYC, you already know what we mean, because the upcoming two-day workshops are meat for the bones of that “electrifying, groundbreaking” discussion [per the attendees' comments, honest :-)]. You can check out the workshop description and cities/dates at Workshops. Hope to see you in person this year!
Dateline January 15, 2010: CASC RELEASES DVD OF LYNDA’S 2009 TALK
Speaking of Lynda’s 2009 conference talk, the good folks at California Seth Conference (CASC) have just released a DVD of it. All of the proceeds go to CASC – that is, neither SNI nor Lynda financially benefits. We decided we’d rather help the fledging conference (their second is in March) stay around for a long, long time, and all donations help such efforts. And if you’re planning to attend one of the SNI workshops this year, do consider buying the DVD as either an intro to Lynda’s ideas or as a conference refresher. To learn more, click on Directory > Conferences/Workshops > California Seth Conference. (By the way, Lynda will be speaking at their March conference about the safe universe and living in trust.)
Dateline January 13, 2010: SETH SINGLES COMING VALENTINE’S DAY!
What could be more symbolically perfect for the single Seth reader than seeing Seth Singles launched on Valentine’s Day?! Jeff Kiefer, owner of the popular social networking site SethSpace (and web developer for SNI) has chosen February 14 to launch his latest brainchild. And Jeff’s looking for input on what you single Sethies would like to see on the site; that is, what profile questions would suit your needs. What info do you think is important to know about a prospective romantic partner? What Seth-oriented questions would you like to see asked in order to determine compatibility? Etc. To respond to Jeff, click on SethSpace/Singles. Once you’re on SethSpace, go to Forums.
Dateline January 4, 2010: A HEARTFELT GOOD-BYE TO A SETHIAN FRIEND
On January 3, Carol Funk, long-time member of the Seth community and founding member of the Colorado Seth Conference, passed on. Her intelligence and wit, to say nothing of her good heart, endeared her to many of us. May her husband of many decades, Jim, and their family find peace of mind soon, and may the rest of us wish her well on her journey forward – with our deepest, sincerest regret that her journey forward came too soon for us. A most moving video has been created by her grandnephew Chris Colvard, which brings Carol to life once again, if only in our imaginings. It is on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com//video/video.php?comments=&v=241329044308. Godspeed, Carol, from so very many of us, your friends.
Dateline January 1, 2010: SETH'S NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS
It just would not be a proper New Year if someone didn't post Seth's resolutions. So, we are assuring the continuation of a wonderful tradition by providing an article that contains the four resolutions that Seth suggested to Jane and Rob on January 1, 1979. They provide a compelling reminder for all of us that one's focus creates, and that we can change our lives by changing our minds. While they get special mention on New Year’s Day, we should also remember that they are good reading on many other occasions throughout the year. These timeless gems may be found in the document file under the listing with this title in Directory > Seth-Based Articles. Enjoy!
Dateline December 15, 2009: HAPPY HOLIDAYS, SETH FRIENDS!
We want to wish you a splendid holiday season, full of good cheer and peaceful minds. And if you'd like a dose of Seth, we've posted "Christmas with Seth" in Seth-Based Articles, a compilation of some things Seth offers us about the season and our place in it. For instance, "Look at the Christmas tree; your cells and molecules shine a million times more brightly. Your eyes glitter with far greater light. You are love in corporeal form. You do not have to look for it or wonder where to find it or give it in packages with bright ribbon. You are packages with bright ribbon." After the holidays are over, we'll remove the document from the archives until December 2010, and then bring it back in its lovely gift wrap of words that resonate around the world. - Merry Christmas, Seth and Jane and Rob!
Dateline December 1, 2009: SETH SINGLES, ANYONE?
At the last two conferences of 2009 (LA and NYC), the subject of single Seth readers attempting to find a partner who is compatible with their thinking came up in casual small group conversations. Actually, it's come up over the years, and this time we decided to do something about it. Enter our own Jeff Keifer, the web genius behind the development of our Seth Network site, as well as SethSpace (the social networking place for Sethies) and the California Seth Conference site. Jeff was very enthusiastic about the idea of establishing a meeting place for single Seth readers along the lines of, say, Match.com, and has indeed now secured SethSingles.com as its URL. Look for something in the first quarter of 2010 - which, of course, we'll bring to your awareness when it's ready to announce. Go Single Sethies!
Dateline November 30, 2009: JANE'S ESP CLASS MEMBERS EXPOSED!
We are pleased to announce a new Gallery section featuring photos from ESP class members, both then and now. Check out the new "Jane’s ESP Class Members" category for photos recently posted by Barrie Gellis (and a few others), one of the “New York Boys”. His pictures feature some of the regulars who made the weekly trip from NYC to Elmira for class each week. Barrie is a poet and writer who is active in the online Seth community and recently spoke at the East Coast Seth Conference. He has posted some of his writings in our Seth-Based Articles (including his conference presentation), listed both his blog and message board in our Blogs and Discussion Groups, and has a listing for his poetry book in Seth-Influenced Media. We very much appreciate Barrie’s contribution to our idea for a Gallery category just for Jane's class, and know you will enjoy it immensely as it expands over time. Keep your eye on it, folks.
Dateline November 28, 2009: FIND THAT UNIQUE CHRISTMAS GIFT FROM OTHER SETHIES
With Christmas around the corner, we want to bring to your attention the many gifts that can be purchased through our friends in Seth-Friendly Businesses and Seth-Influenced Media. Gifts like specialty candles; unique dolls that look like whomever you choose; a subscription to an arts-entertainment-holistic newspaper; divination products; voice training; past life regression, hypnosis, channeling, psychotherapy, and LCSW sessions; life coaching; games and books; T-shirts with special sayings and images; a website for your favorite person; Seth conference DVDs and CDs; music CDs; even electrical services or real estate! So, if you are looking for a unique gift or would like to support a Sethie when selecting something to purchase, do check out these listings. You will find that your fellow Seth readers are quite a creative bunch. :)
Dateline November 26, 2009: NANCY ASHLEY'S BACK ON OUR RADAR!
Good news for those of you around the Seth material in the 1980s. Nancy Ashley, one of the first authors to take the Seth material and make it "practical" in her three workbooks (Create Your Own Reality, Create Your Own Happiness, and Create Your Own Dreams), is considering another book, this time possibly on what Seth says about the emerging new species of consciousness. Whatever Nancy decides to write, count on it being excellent. (BTW, she's still living in Hawaii.) And as far as her iconic workbooks are concerned, while they have been out of print for years they are thankfully now available on Amazon in used format. Go to Seth-Influenced Media and look for the listing, "Three Seth Workbooks by Nancy Ashley," for what she has to say about them, and then check out Amazon. Do yourselves a favor, folks!
Dateline November 15, 2009: SETH & JANE ROBERTS ENGLISH LANGUAGE BOOK LISTING
Check out the listing of this name in the Seth-Based Articles section to find a file containing a list of titles and the latest/current publishers of the English language versions of the Seth/Jane Books. As we responded to inquiries from newer Seth readers concerning requests for Seth book lists and related publication information, we realized that it would benefit readers new and old to have a listing of the Seth and Jane books in a separate article on our site to which we could refer these types of questions. So, we created one! We hope that it will help those new to the material learn about books of which they might be unaware. It can also serve as a guide to longer term readers who may wish to fill out their collection. In the future, we will also be providing information on foreign language translations for our non English speaking friends.
Dateline November 14, 2009: THE ATMOSPHERIC PRESENCE: A PSY-TIME DOCUMENT
Hello Seth friends, Lynda Dahl here. When all is said and done, without an innate, integrated faith and trust in ourselves, in All That Is, and in the nature of reality, we can read the Seth material until the cows come home and still create an unsafe universe for ourselves. On my personal journey into “safety,” I created a Psy-time document of excerpts from William James’ comments in Jane's book, The Afterdeath Journal of an American Philosopher, about the atmospheric presence. James is talking from his position after death, but I intuitively knew each comment was as relevant to me, alive and well in a physical reality, as to him. And I knew if I could truly see and experience what James saw and experienced, then it would ever so naturally become the beginning of my platform of safety in life. It has been more beneficial than I can express. This Psy-time document can be found in Seth-Based Articles.
Dateline November 12, 2009: SUPPORT YOUR FAVORITE SETH-FRIENDLY BUSINESS
From electricians to realtors, videographers to T-shirt creators, book publishers to web designers, hypnotherapists to life coaches, essay creators to high end film makers, and many things in between, our Seth Friendly businesses section illustrates the diversity of business pursuits undertaken by Seth readers around the world. This section of our directory has grown steadily since July and now holds a whopping 24 listings. We are very pleased by this level of activity and interest, and are excited to share the growing list of business offerings with visitors to our site. They not only provide valuable commercial opportunities, but also serve to illustrate the depth of influence that the Seth material has in the world. If you run a business and are not yet listed, we would love to have you join this directory and let your affiliation be known to the benefit of you and your fellow Sethies. And, for those of you looking for something unique, or just interested in the creative diversity that the Seth material can inspire, do check out the listings. You might find that a Sethie in your area has just the product or service that you are looking for…
Dateline October 31, 2009: AND THE BEAT GOES ON....AND THE BEAT EXPANDS
All Seth conferences and workshops are extraordinary in their energy and exuberance. How could they not be, when Sethies hungry for connection to, and discussion with, other Seth readers come together? On October 24-25, Rick Stack, publisher of many Seth books and producer of Seth conferences and workshops, held his first annual West Coast Seth Conference in Los Angeles, and it was unique in an important respect. It brought together folks from other current Seth affiliated groups for the first time in person, and symbolically displayed a glimpse of the cooperation and camaraderie emerging in today's Sethian world. Dawn and Morgan McKay, committee members with the Colorado Seth Conference, were there, as was Lawrence Davidson, the producer of the California Seth Conference (and an ESP class member). And our own Michael Steffen and Lynda Dahl were happy to be participating, along with Anne Marie O'Farrell (literary agent for the Seth books and Rick's wife) and some of Jane's ESP class folks. Jeff Kiefer's SethSpace was also represented by several people, and from the local scene came Gilbert Anaya, founder of the L.A. Seth Group, and some of his group friends. ** Expect to see more and more of this combined, shared focus on growing our global Seth community and enjoying the heck out of the ride forward, together.
Dateline October 31, 2009: AND THE BEAT EXPANDS....TO ORANGE COUNTY
What can come of Seth readers attending conferences and workshops solely directed to the Seth material? Seth groups, the heart of the Sethian global community. Lynda Dahl lives Orange County. Because of significant interest at the L.A. West Coast Seth Conference by Orange County attendees, Lynda scheduled a get-to-know-you dinner for November 8, and it will also include members of Lynda's new Seth Meet-Up group. You can read more about this emerging Orange County group in Seth Groups/Networks, and while you're there, do explore the other listings to see if there's a Seth group in your area. And if not, think about starting one like these folks have done through their listings: Tom and Judy Ewing (Maine), Jude Todd (Santa Cruz, CA), Larry Hause (Minneapolis), and Francois de Mecquenem (Paris). ** Go Seth!
Dateline October 27, 2009: THE LAST SETH CONFERENCE OF THE YEAR!
They're almost all over, folks. Only one Seth conference out of six is left in the year 2009, and it's the East Coast Seth Conference in NYC Nov. 21-22. To learn more about this last possibility of the season, click on Conferences and Workshops. ** Hope to see you there!
Dateline October 15, 2009: TWO SNI 2010 WORKSHOPS READY FOR REGISTRATION
Two of our four recently announced Seth intensive workshops for 2010 are now open for registration, with full pricing, hotel and other information posted in Workshops, our new tab between Gallery and Bookstore. We're starting in San Mateo in April, and then moving on to Boston, Portland and Los Angeles. Our topic is "Trust and its Pivotal Role in Conscious Creation," and as we say in our workshop description, according to Seth trust is the one ingredient that is mandatory in order to create consciously and sustain a reality that pleases us. So we will look at the Seth material through more perceptive eyes, first identifying Seth’s concepts that stress to us that we are not primarily human consciousness in linear time, but wholly non-physical consciousness using linear time for our own purposes – and why that difference in thought makes all the difference to trust...and conscious creation. And then we will move on to the practical implications of what Seth is saying and how to integrate it into our conscious thinking – which then, as the nature of reality dictates, will automatically become our realities. ** Hope you can join us, friends. What's more heavenly than a weekend immersed in Seth?! :-)
Dateline October 11, 2009: WHERE HAVE ALL THE SETH GROUPS GONE, LONG TIME PASSING...
As we've said before, Seth groups are the heart of the Sethian community. They pump continuing life and vigor into the minds and souls of Seth readers everywhere. Over the past decade they've been in decline, as evidenced by comparing groups listed in SNI's magazine of the 1990s, Reality Change: The Global Seth Journal, to those from that list that still exists. However, signs are beginning to sprout of their re-emergence. In Seth Groups/Networks, three listings are all about attempting to start new groups in Paris, Santa Cruz (California) and Minneapolis (Minnesota). We encourage anyone remotely interested to, through a listing, test the potential for your area, without a commitment to go further. Let Seth readers who live in your community contact you and just see where the probabilities take you. ** Go Seth!
Dateline October 9, 2009: WORLD'S FIRST SETH-BASED GAME
The creativity of Seth folks around the globe never ceases to amaze. Here's a sample we thought you'd appreciate. Designed by Yvonne Buonamici of Austin, TX, SethWorld is a totally new concept in gaming. Quoting from Yvonne's listing in Seth-Influenced Businesses: "It is a metaphysically based, completely open-ended game with no winners, no losers, and NO RULES! It is designed so that the players can create the game in the same manner we create our realities -- individually and en masse. The purpose of the game is to explore and uncover your beliefs, while having fun and stretching yourself creatively." Keep in mind that Christmas is just around the corner, Sethies!
Dateline October 1, 2009: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HAPPY 10,000th VISITOR!
Happy birthday to us all, folks! July 1 was our site launch date, and just today - exactly three months later - we logged in our 10,000th visitor! Coincidences and probabilities - marvelous constructs, aren't they? It's been a fun journey through those coincidences and probabilities, and it's our distinct pleasure to share that journey forward with so many global Seth readers. You guys are sincerely appreciated, and with us pulling together we truly CAN create the dream of a strong international Seth network. - Go, Seth!
Dateline October 1, 2009: MEET LAUREL DAVIES-BUTTS
Laurel Davies-Butts, Rob's second wife, lives in Sayre, Pennsylvania, where she and Rob spent many of their 23 years together after moving from Elmira, New York. She was instrumental in helping Rob prepare various books for publication over the years, as well as copying huge amounts of documents for the Yale archives and, in general, assisting with the Seth material. Recently we asked Laurel if she would consider writing whatever came to mind at the moment about Rob and her life with him. Gracious as always, Laurel's letter to all of us is included in Seth-Based Articles, along with a photo of her with Rob.
Dateline September 30, 2009: SETH AND WORLD BUSINESS
Seth readers are all over the globe and in all sorts of careers. We've enjoyed watching our directory of Seth-Friendly Businesses grow, and thought we'd bring a new one to your attention because of its unique focus on all things film. Sonic Voyage, of Rotterdam, Netherlands, makes high-end audiovisual productions, TV shows, films, commercials, video-clips and 3d animations. It's completely full-service, including movie-scoring, music production and post-production. If you get a chance, go to their listing and click on their website. Very professional, very "today," very impressive. The English version will be up and running soon!
Dateline September 15, 2009: SNI ANNOUNCES FOUR 2010 SETH INTENSIVE WORKSHOPS
Big news from SNI! We just posted info about four 2010 Seth intensive weekend workshops, titled "Trust and its Pivotal Role in Conscious Creation." We'll be taking our workshop to the San Francisco Bay area, Boston, Portland, and Los Angeles. Until our website pages are finished, you can read about the workshops in Workshops. Those of you from SNI of the 1990s, remember our very successful Consciously Creating Change workshops? Our new one is fashioned along similar lines, as you'll see in the write-up.
Dateline September 14, 2009: THE MOSSMAN ARCHIVE
Jerry Parmer, of Parmer Books in San Diego, California, recently received a for-sale consignment from Tam Mossman, Jane's editor at Prentice Hall and an observer at several of the Seth sessions and classes. The initial material Parmer Books received consisted of carbon copies of Seth sessions typed by Rob, a copy of a letter to Rob from Prentice Hall after Jane's death, releasing him from one of her future book contracts, two winter landscape paintings by Jane, and some writings by Jane, including an outtake from Oversoul Seven. It also included several photocopies of ESP class sessions, typed at the time by a class attendee from tape recordings and distributed to several people, and other materials not noted here. Some of the items have been sold, but others are still available. Please go to Seth-Influenced Media for further info.
Dateline September 11, 2009: SETH GOES TO YALE
As familiar as some of us are with the fact that copies of much of the Seth material is archived at Yale University, many still have not heard about it. Therefore, we've published a document in Seth-Based Articles that starts like this: "What does it take to become one of the most visited bodies of work in the Yale University Library archives? It takes being the Seth/Jane/Rob material." Indeed, as you'll read in the article, Jane's work is annually rated in the top ten collections visited - and there are 1,700 collections in the archives, many by world-renowned figures. (Go Seth!) We've also listed two Yale websites that give you info on what items of Jane's are now in the archives, and hours, directions, etc. if you plan to visit.
Dateline September 4, 2009: SCIENTIST SAHTOURIS PULLS THE SETHIAN WOOL OVER OTHER SCIENTISTS' EYES
Dr. Elisabet Sahtouris, evolution biologist, futurist and author, recently posted a fascinating must-read in Seth-Based Articles. It's titled "Consciousness as the Source of All Reality," and we'll let Elisabet's intro speak for itself: "After the Introduction in the attached document, written by myself as ‘Joseph Trebur’s words, this ‘speech’ is actually by Seth via Jane Roberts, who was called Rubert by Seth, a name I spelled backwards to make Trebur, while Joseph is the name Seth called Jane's husband Rob. I did this to try Seth’s concepts out on some scientists by pretending the lecture was given by a live speaker at Yale University, where all the Seth material is actually archived, to make it more credible to them. The ‘lecture and Q&A’ are a composite of only slightly edited, some reordered, quotes from The Nature of Personal Reality by Jane Roberts, 1974, the year I gave to this event. The Q&A questions are mine; the answer are Seth’s."

Dateline August 29, 2009: SPREADING SETH TO CHINESE SPEAKERS: MEET SUNNY PAI
We first heard of Sunny Pai last month. She's an amazing Taiwan-born woman living near Toronto in Markham, Ontario, with ties to mainland China. Sunny has been reading Seth for five years and has already started a Seth group for Chinese-speaking folks in Markham. And quite interestingly, she travels to Zhuhai, China, two months every year to give hypnosis seminars, and while she has to be somewhat cautious, she works Seth into them and calls them "Mind, Body, and Soul." To read more about Sunny, look under Seth-Based Articles (where we've uploaded an intro to her background); Seth Groups (Chinese Speakers); Blogs and Discussion Groups (Chinese Speakers); Seth-Friendly Businesses (where her hypnosis company is listed), and our Gallery (under Seth Groups, Chinese Speaking). * You go, gal!
Dateline August 20, 2009: SETHNET MAIL LIST RETURNS TO SNI
In 1998, the original Seth Network launched the SethNet mail list, managed by volunteer Paul Helfrich. With the closing of the original SNI in 1999 upon co-founder Stan Ulkowski's death, we offered the list to Paul, and thankfully he accepted. Under Paul's auspices it flourished as an aspect of NewWorldView, bringing many thousands of Seth readers together over the last 10 years. Now that NewWorldView is changing focus, Paul has decided to close the list. In a very graceful gesture, he has returned the SethNet mail list name and structure to the hands of the new SNI for future development, if desired. Our sincere thanks to you, Paul! It feels as though a progeny of thought has returned home.
