Pioneers of Consciousness, by Lynda Dahl
(Editor's Note: This is the second, and shortest, talk given by Lynda Dahl at the 2010 California Seth Conference.)
Seth says, “As in your terms, the cavemen ventured out into the daylight of the earth, so there is a time for man to venture out into a greater knowledge of his subjective reality, to explore the dimensions of selfhood and go beyond the small areas of himself in which he has thus far found shelter.”
I said earlier that Jane and Rob were pioneers of consciousness. And I said that we were, too. So, what are the implications of being pioneers of consciousness? What is its point, for one thing, and what does it mean to us individually as well as to the world we choose to inhabit?
Let’s start with some of what Seth says:
“When man realizes that he, himself, creates his personal and universal environment in concrete terms, then he can begin to create a private and universal environment much superior to the (present) one that is a result of haphazard and unenlightened constructions. This is our main message to the world, and this is the next line in man's conceptual development, which will make itself felt in all fields….”
Seth goes on to say: “The experiment that would transform your world would operate upon the basic idea that you create your own reality according to the nature of your beliefs, and that all existence was blessed, and that evil did not exist in it…This is the experiment that has not been tried.”
According to Seth, a framework has been set in the field of probabilities which can allow our civilization to reorganize itself and become the future result of that great experiment – the one that’s never been tried. If we decide to choose this new framework, it could be in place psychically by 2075, as Seth discusses in his books, and is actually in developmental stages now.
And Seth has been doing his best to help it along. He says: “…Not only have I been trying to divest you of official ideas, but to prepare you for the acceptance of a new version of reality; a version that could be described in many fashions. It has been during the annals of history, but many of those fashions also indisputably, and with the best of intentions, managed to give a faulty picture: You ended up with your gods and demons, unwieldy methods and cults, and often with the intellect downgraded. I hope, of course, that our 'model' avoids many of those pitfalls.”
The model Seth is talking about is based on a new set of assumptions. They are not laws, but ideas which will be held as true. In Psychic Politics, Jane lists these assumptions after being introduced to them while in an altered state of consciousness. She calls them the codicils.
Jane says: "…I knew that the material to come represented an alternate model for civilization to follow…a model that we had not chosen in the past. The codicils would represent a fresh hypothesis upon which to build a new, better civilization." (Continued in attached Word file.)
